Omega Plus® Single Channel Serological PipettorLightweight, ergonomic, UV resistant serological pipettor for accurate reproducible filling and dispensing of glass and plastic pipettes from 1 - 100mL.

The Omega Plus® Pipettor combines single-handed pipetting with fast, precise liquid dispensing. The aspirating and dispensing speeds can be continuously adjusted with one hand using the thumb dial. Pipetting Reservoirs Argos Technologies reservoirs were created to work with 8 & 12 channel pipettes. Designed with angled sides and a narrow V-shaped bottom to ensure that every last drop of costly reagents can be aspirated.

White polystyrene basins are offered in 25, 50 and 100mL volumes.

Reservoirs have recessed graduations on inner walls. They feature pour spouts in every corner, and one larger spout on each reservoir to facilitate spill-free pouring.

BioSafe® Pipettes − eliminate cross contamination − the first pipette with total contamination control!The Argos BioSafe® pipette is a standard serological pipette with a unique barrier filter. If over-aspiration occurs with BioSafe pipettes, liquid is “locked” and unable to pass through to filter. Similar in theory to a barrier pipette tip, BioSafe pipettes provide sample integrity while promoting user safety. It also protects electronic pipettors from contamination and cross contaminating samples by over aspiration.

Ideal for applications involving any potentially hazardous or dangerous biological fluids, infectious diseases or when cross over contamination is an issue.

Argos Waste Collection Systems When was the last time you reviewed your laboratory's waste collection system?The Argos waste collection product line provides customers with a full offering of products to handle aspiration & disposal of liquid or hazardous waste. These waste systems are ideal for use with critical or dangerous liquids or supernatants, pathogens or in any class III or IV biohazard laboratories.

P-Vac Portable Vacuum System − Compact, flexible and portable liquid waste disposal systemThe P-Vac has been designed as a compact, flexible and portable liquid waste disposal system. The unit’s small footprint makes it ideal for the laboratory bench or laminar hood. It has been designed to accommodate a variety of collection vessels including bottle top aspirating filter units, plastic vacuum bottles, glass Erlenmeyer flasks, or any device that accepts vacuum. The rechargeable lithium ion battery allows for use where an inline vacuum source is not available, outside of the laboratory setting where a vacuum is required, or when the sample being aspirated is too dangerous for the house vacuum.

The P-Vac is powered by a quiet, adjustable, low noise diaphragm pump that can generate up to -500 mbar of vacuum. The .45um hydrophobic filter protects the P-Vac from accidental overfilling that could contaminate or damage the unit.

The P-Vac system is supplied with a .45um hydrophobic vacuum filter, silicone connection tubing, HandE-Vac hand operator with single channel pipette tip adapter and a universal mains adapter.

M-Vac Collection System − economical, safe alternative to glass waste collection systemsArgos M-Vac and M-Vac Jr. systems are used to collect a variety of liquids and supernatants including tissue and cell culture media, biological immunology reagents, or any liquid chemical waste that uses a standard in-house vacuum. UV-resistant systems consist of a stainless steel safety stand, 4L or 2L polypropylene vacuum bottle, and a polypropylene cap available with either quick release coupling tubing connectors or traditional barbed fittings (the M-Vac Jr. is available only with the barbed fitting cap). Both units include flexible silicone vacuum tubing that can be used with Pasteur pipettes, serological pipettors or the HandE-Vac handheld aspirator.

MiniVac Waste Collection System − simple, safe, cost effective waste removal systemThe Argos MiniVac waste collection system was designed with safety, convenience and bench-top space in mind. The MiniVac system replaces the need for glass waste containers; eliminating the risk of breakage and contamination. The MiniVac flask and cap sit in a safety reservoir basin that collects liquid should flask overflow, crack or leak. Full flasks can be transferred safely by using supplied transfer cap. Small footprint (7.5 in.); easy clean up with 70% isopropyl alcohol.

The system includes a disposable 1L polystyrene flask, plastic reservoir basin, polypropylene cap with barbed fittings and tubing.

Inoculating Loops with handles are used to select, inoculate or transfer microbiological samples. Loops are made of high quality twisted nichrome wire and attached to a light-weight aluminum handle. Handles are insulated to protect the hand during use. Loops have been designed to slide along agar surfaces without cutting or tearing. CELLine BioreactorsCELLine Flasks are ideal for monoclonal antibodies and expressed recombinant cellular protein production. Viable in vitro alternative to using mouse ascites. Cryo/Freezer Boxes & Dividers − Durable yet economical!PolarSafe® Cryo/Freezer Boxes and Dividers are made of sturdy white cardboard, with a special moisture-repellent coating to protect from the effects of liquid nitrogen or condensation from refrigerated equipment. Small holes on the bottom allow for safe drainage of liquid nitrogen or water.

PolarSafe 81 & 100 Place Gridded Cardboard BoxArgos now offers our most popular box sizes with a white, water resistant, unique paper lining on the inside box top and bottom, as well as the cell dividers. This water barrier prevents water from penetrating the box, which can cause decomposition and mold.

Each box also contains a numerical grid that allows the researcher to replace the tube exactly where it was removed. A great tool to help keep your samples organized.

PolarSafe® Ice Buckets & PansLightweight yet durableThese high density expanded polystyrene buckets and pans are produced with thick walls to provide rigidity and strength, and yet are super lightweight. The PolarSafe® storage products are perfectly suited for use with ice, dry ice, slurry ice, etc. Liquid nitrogen can even be stored in these containers, unlike traditional polyurethane products.

ThinSpin™ Magnetic StirrerThe Argos ThinSpin™ Magnetic Stirrer is an ultra-thin, light-weight piece of equipment that can be programmed to mix and stir between 15 and 1500 rpm. The preset speed is 15 rpm, but speed can be easily adjusted in increments of 15 rpm. Each time the speed is changed the handy LED light will flash. For added versatility the spin direction can be alternated clockwise or counter clockwise by pressing the reverse key.

The low-profile and sleek design of the ThinSpin enables it to be used and stored in tight spaces such as in fume hoods or in cabinets. The unit weighs only 11 oz., and has a tiny footprint of 175 x 125 x 20.5 mm. The working platform has dimensions of 110 x 110 mm. The maximum load is 2.0 kg.

This small but mighty instrument can mix and stir up to 500 mL of laboratory liquids, solutions and media. The top plate of the ThinSpin is water-proof and resistant to most laboratory chemicals.

The ThinSpin is CE marked, and has an IP rating of DIN EN 60529. Unit includes a 2 year warranty.

Vortamix™ Mini VortexerThe Argos Vortamix Mini Vortexer is an unbelievably compact, yet powerful instrument engineered to mix tubes quickly and easily. The vortexing motion is activated by placing a tube on the gasket cap and then pressing down lightly. The innovative design of the gasket cap allows centrifuge and test tubes up to 30 mm in diameter to be mixed with very little effort − including 50mL conical tubes! The standard unit comes with a red rubber gasket cap − blue, green and purple colored caps are offered separately.

Despite its small size and weight (dimensions: 95 x 85 mm/weight: .55 kg), the Vortamix offers an excellent mixing speed of 3,000 rpm. The orbital diameter is 4.5mm. The ambient temperature range of the unit is 5 - 40°C.

The Vortamix is CE marked and has and IP rating of DIN EN 60529. Unit includes a 2 year warranty.

Argos RotoFlex™ Systems − Benchtop Tube Rotators designed for a variety of applications!The RotoFlex™ and RotoFlex™ Plus systems will accommodate a variety of tubes from .5 - 50mL by simply changing the rotisserie. No tools required. The mixing angle can be adjusted from 0 - 90° and each of the 4 tube panels can be aligned independently. The 360° rotation ensures thorough mixing of all samples.

FlexiRoll™ SystemThe Argos FlexiRoll™ is a compact digital cell roller that can be used to spin roller bottles, hybridization tubes, Vacutainer™ tubes or 15 & 50mL centrifuge tubes. Two different rack options are available. The standard roller rods rotate 360° while keeping the bottle or tube level with the bench. The rocker rods gently rock the samples up and down while rotating 360° at the same time.

FlexiRoll system includes: Power supply and adapter, roller rods (6), remote digital controller, o-rings (20 - 15mL / 20 - 50mL)

• Variable speed control from .5 – 80 rpm

• Temperature range 4 -60°C (39-140°F)

• Supplied with digital remote control for CO2 incubator applications

• Can be stacked to double capacity

• Easy-to-clean, chemically resistant housing

Pipetting ReservoirsWorking in conjunction with U.S. engineers and product designers, Argos created a family of reservoirs with the researcher in mind. After securing end user feedback from three continents, we embarked on a mission to make the industries best reservoir.

CapSafe™ 5mL TubeThe Argos CapSafe™ 5mL tube was designed to provide extra sample security, especially in boiling applications. The lid cap has been engineered to include a clip that snaps closed over the tube opening, keeping samples safe and secure.

P-Vac Portable Vacuum Pump

Based on input from our customers, Argos designed a small portable vacuum pump to aspirate laboratory waste when house vacuum is not available or advisable to use. Extra care was taken during the development phase to ensure that the original design concepts were included in the final product.
