TOP LONDON PRODUCER AND LONDON FASHION WEEK STYLIST CONFIRMED FOR BATH IN FASHION 2011
Bath in Fashion 2011 promises to be edgy and exciting as one of the UK’s
most creative show producers John Walford, and top London stylist
Rebekah Roy are confirmed for the headline shows.
John Walford originally worked with Vivienne Westwood and has produced
shows for designers and brands as diverse as Hussein Chalayan, Stella
McCartney, and Donna Karan. He is founder and director of the Vauxhall
Fashion Scout, named as London’s leading showcase for fashion
innovation. This season is Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s 10th London Fashion
week, and with over twenty shows this season, it is the largest
independent production company at the renowned fashion show.
He has also organised the shows for the Britain’s Top Model tours and was
one of the founders of Graduate Fashion Week.
Sarah Mansfield, Director of Milsom Place and one of the organisers of
Bath in Fashion 2011 said ”it’s great to have such a high profile show
producer involved, it really puts Bath in Fashion on the map. John is
coming to Bath hot on the heels of doing 24 shows at London Fashion
Week. He is one of the most respected show producers in the industry at
the moment”. She continued “this just goes to show that Bath in Fashion
is going from strength to strength”.
He will produce Bath in Fashion 2011’s headline shows, including Fashion
& Fizz at the Roman Baths, the Urban Style Fashion event showcasing
street style in Bath’s new shopping development, SouthGate, and the
Spring/Summer Fashion show in the Octagon, formerly a Georgian chapel
at Milsom Place.
Top fashion stylist and editor of Fashion.Music.Style magazine, Rebekah
Roy will be styling the shows at Bath in Fashion 2011. Her impressive
client list includes Harvey Nichols, Kate Nash, The Feeling and Little Boots
and she works extensively with cutting-edge designers like William
Tempest, Stefan Orschel and Alice Palmer as well as styling shows at
London Fashion Week.
John Walford and Rebekah Roy make an impressive team and each event
will be produced and styled with its own unique identity to celebrate the
breadth and style of fashion in Bath.
John Walford and Rebekah Roy will be joining an impressive line up for
Bath in Fashion 2011. Julian Roberts, who has shown 13 collections at
London Fashion Week and is the inventor of a garment pattern cutting
method called “Subtraction Cutting”, will be holding a two day workshop;
local fashion guru Iain R. Webb will be in conversation with Rosemary
Harden, Manager of the Fashion Museum in “Candid Catwalk”, providing
insights gleaned from Iain’s illustrious years in the industry; and textile
artist Karen Nicol, currently “Designer in Residence” at Bath Spa
University, will be sharing her expertise in a talk at Bath’s cool new venue,
The Loft on Bartlett Street.

Bath in Fashion is the first event supported by the Bath Business Improvement District with funding from Bath & North East Somerset Council.
From 1st to 28th October 2010 A majority of the Business ratepayers in the proposed BID who voted, voted in favour of the proposal, both by aggregate rateable value and numbers voting. A Business Improvement District will be established in Bath and will commence on 1st April 2011.
The BID will deliver three components: management of the city centre environment, marketing & events and costs saving initiatives for businesses. The BID will generate £ 3.5 million over the next five years.
