DAY THREE Complex Services Spend & Category Management

“ The sessions are succinct and the content istimely; the Practitioner’s only day is priceless;but the real gem is the direct interactionwith senior level executives in my field – thatis worth the price of the conference alone.Nowhere else do I find this much benefit inthe way of best practices and indirectexecutives. I have yet to walk away from aProcureCon event without a learning, ideaor supplier recommendation that affects mycompany’s bottom line.”

Jamie CrumpDir. Indirect Strategic Sourcing & SupplierDiversityUnited Rentals

“The networking opportunities aloneare worth attending an event. Whereelse do you have the opportunity to sitin a room full of procurementprofessionals and listen to how theydealt with challenges andproblems.....then meet them one-on-one to discuss further.“

Randy ClarkSr. Strategic BuyerVolvo Group

“ There is a different pulse aboutProcureCon than other sourcingconferences. Attendees are trueinfluencers in the industry and eager toshare and participate which createslearning opportunities for all.”

I picked up some new ideas aswell as refreshed my memory on anumber of topics to stay current withwhat's going on in the procurement worldand how I can apply these learnings withcurrent challenges and opportunities Ihave within my organization. This, alongwith the networking opportunities withprocurement professionals that havesimilar experiences make the event veryworthwhile.

Unlike all other industry events, which are either thinly veiledsales-pitch platforms or hectic trade shows with thousands oflower‐level attendees being shuffled around, ProcureConfocuses on the quality of attendees. The intimate size andrelaxed atmosphere makes it easy for attendees to makemeaningful, lasting connections with colleagues and potentialnew service partners. It puts the attendees in the right mindsetto benchmark and openly share issues and ideas.

This is hard to explain to people who haven’t attended before –or haven’t in years – since it’s not very tangible. So I’ve askedpast attendees to valuate their attendance through some real, tangible ROI stories so that you, the industry colleague, can seethe value through your peers’ eyes:

• 'I would value ProcureCon at $500K - Last time I attended,I was able to adjust an RFP which resulted in major savings'(Director Indirect Procurement, Retailer)

• 'Frankly, we've lost count of the dollar value. But to give youan idea, I conduct extensive briefings after I return from theconference with leaders in procurement, supply chain andfinance. Even sales is attending nowadays. I was the onlyperson in the company allowed to travel (amidst a fullcompany-wide travel freeze) in '09 at the height of therecession with sign-off from our NA CEO to go toProcureCon - while even he wasn't allowed to travel. That'show much it's been worth at my company...' (PurchasingDirector, Automotive Company)

• 'I would value ProcureCon at $1M - I started working withthree new suppliers I met at ProcureCon last February andhave already saved over $1M' (CPO, CPG Manufacturer)

• 'I can't give you an exact number, but I can say ProcureConhas brought me more value than all other events I'veattended this year put together. For me, it's been all aboutthe networking and my ProcureCon contacts have beenincredibly responsive to my request around benefitsmanagement, which does put me on track to deliver $9M insavings and added benefits this year.' (Head of CorporateSourcing, Bank)

Every single ProcureCon event delivers:

Access to 150350 senior level executives fromworld‐class organizations actively seeking intimate andrelevant benchmarking opportunities

The most current content, as shaped by yearroundresearch with CPOs and other leaders within the industry
