1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. PURPOSE

The objective of this document is to describe the PROCOS Customer Baseline and thereby supply the PROCOS customers with the necessary knowledge to decide upon an update of an existing PROCOS system. PROCOS is the name of the Windows version of CGI's process control system suite.

The Customer Baseline basis in this document describes which versions of the ESW Packages are qualified to be delivered to customers along with valid User Manuals. Additional internal PROCOS documentation is also baselined.

1.2. SCOPE

This document describes the changes made from the previous baseline to this including references to any Test Reports issued during this period.

The document includes the following important issues:

Major Enhancements, chapter 2.

Support removed, chapter 3.

Changes from previous baseline, chapter 4.

Test shortages, section 5.1.

Conclusions from Test Reports, section 5.2.

PROCOS Mapplications version list, section 6.1.

IPC version list, section 6.2.

USM version list, sections 6.3.

Corrected ILS since the last Customer Baseline, including error corrections as well as improvements, Appendix A .

Known Errors and Workarounds, Appendix B .

Installation notes describing important matters concerning the installation of the present baseline are included on the baseline CD (Install.txt).

Chapter 2 Major Enhancements describes changes in PROCOS Customer Baseline version 04.04 versus version 04.03.

1.3. APPLIES TO

This document applies to Configuration Management to secure that the correct versions are used in delivery to customers and to create trace ability between related elements. Related configuration elements are an ESW Package, IPC5xx, IPC91x, User Manuals (USM) and additional documentation – see chapter 6.

The document may also be used by customers to decide whether to update their system.

2. MAJOR ENHANCEMENTS

This chapter includes a brief description of the major enhancements available with this release.

Please refer to Appendix A for a complete list of error corrections and improvements to PROCOS in this release.

2.1. NEW INDUSTRIAL PROCESS CONTROLLER IPC 541/543 – ILS 3417

A new Industrial Process Controller has been added. It differs from IPC 531/534 in the following aspects:

Based on latest embedded PC hardware from the Beckhoff CX2000 family

The QNX real time operating system is updated to latest version, with support for new chips in the hardware

Plug & Play compatible with IPC 531/533, except for: - Internal K-bus for Beckhoff I/O terminals directly on the IPC is de-supported - IPC 54x is slightly wider than IPC 53x (≈ 2 cm) - The two RJ45 interfaces cannot be used as a switch in IPC 54x (please only use upper port) - COM-interface settings for 2-wire/4-wire is configured in pairs in IPC 54x

2.2. ENG-TOOL - MAPPLICATION SETUP PARAMETERS – ILS 3065

Mapplication setup parameters are now defined centrally in the ENG-database. It is still possible to define parameters locally. The centrally defined parameters are engineered in ENG-TOOL and then downloaded. After a change of parameters it is necessary to restart the Mapplication.

2.3. COMPABILITY WITH WINDOWS 8.1, SERVER 2012 – ILS 3581, 3582

PROCOS is supported on Windows 8.1 SP 1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 SP1.

2.4. PIC-TOOL - ENHANCEMENTS

2.4.1. Tag replace in actions – ILS 3171

Action names and tag names may be replaced in selected actions for a picture opened in PICTOOL.

2.4.2. Support for image files – ILS 3210

It is possible to insert bmp-/gif-/png-/jpg-images in PICTOOL picture.

2.4.3. Copy action steps – ILS 3252

Action steps may be copied between actions.

2.4.4. Handling of text size – ILS 3352

When editing text in PICTOOL the text will not change size in an unexpected way.

2.5. ENG-TOOL – MASTER / SLAVE WARNINGS – ILS 3439

A warning is given when opening and saving a master SEQ. Further a warning is given when downloading a master SEQ.

2.6. IPC-GWY – ENHANCEMENTS

2.6.1. Number of tags extended - ILS 3622

Number of tags extended from approximately 16000 to 25000.

2.6.2. Long running collections - ILS 3590

An old problem has been corrected in the IPC Gateway. It caused the IPC Gateway to restart all data collections older than 49 days. This problem could lead to crosses on the MIMIC pictures and missed samples in COLLECT for a significant amount of time. This was especially the case if one or more groups in COLLECT had been engineered to sample very slowly (e.g. once per day).




2.6.3. PIU alarms – ILS 3574

PIU alarms are attached to PIU tags not the IPC tag.

2.6.4. Redundant parameters removed – ILS2989

The parameters BACKUP and LAN_PRIMARY are no longer nescessary, the information can be retrieved from the engineered dualisation information. In existing installations the parameters can be kept. The value of the parameters must agree with the engineered dualization information.

2.7. OPC CLIENT GATEWAY – SUPPORT FOR MULTIPLE SERVERS– ILS 3561

The OPC Client Gateway has been updated with support for multiple servers. The previous OPC Client Gateway could only communicate with 1 OPC Server. Now up to 12 Servers can be handled.

2.8. SUPPORT DONGLE IN NETWORK MODE– ILS 3526

It is now possible to use PROCOS through a remote desktop.




3. SUPPORT REMOVED

The ENG-TOOL and the IPC no longer supports the following busses and bus couplers:

5. TEST OUTLINES

The conclusions upon the test of the internal baselines mentioned in chapter 5.2 are described in:

Ref. [3] TREP074 “Component Integration Test Report - ILS Test for CBAS001 v 04.04”.

5.1. TEST SHORTAGES

It has not been possible to do a system test because it has not been possible to make the arrangements in time for the release. A system test wil be done in the start of 2015. Any defects found in connection with this test will be corrected in a following UBAS to this CBAS.

Some ILS have been corrected and were planned to be closed after a successful system test. They were:

ILS 3571 - OPC Server crash.

ILS 3590 - Datacollections restarts after 49 days.

ILS 3595 - Make better recovery after loss of several packages on LAN.

They will be closed when a system test has been done without any errors related to these ILS.

5.2. TEST REPORT CONCLUSIONS

In the sections below the main conclusions from the Test Reports issued in connection with the release of this Customer Baseline are listed.

5.2.1. Conclusions from TREP074 – Component Integration Test

During the test period 75 ILS with software errors/change request were corrected and tested ok in relation to this test report.

3 ILS has not been possible to test functionally, but will be tested in system test. 2 ILS were tested under another test plan ([5] TPLA077 IPC Test Plan).

In the test period 23 new software errors and change requests were raised, which means that net 52 ILS related to software were corrected in the period.

So bearing in mind the test shortages listed in section 5.1 there does not appear to be anything that should prevent that this software should be part of a Customer Baseline on the basis of Ref. [4] TBAS001 “PROCOS Base Line Functional Test, v. 04.90”.

7. PROCOS BASIS

This chapter describes the Customer Baseline basis for delivering PROCOS to customers.

7.1. DEVELOPER TOOLS

The following tools are used for developing PROCOS:

FairCom's c-tree version 6.0E.

7.2. OPERATING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Please refer to USM_103 “Installation” User Manual for Windows, Ref. [1] and USM_125 “PROCOS Reporting”, Ref. [2].

7.3. DATABASE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Oracle is used as the Database System.

PROCOS uses Oracle versions between and including 9.2.0.1.0 and 11gR2.

7.4. SENTINEL DRIVER FOR DONGLES

This Customer Baseline is valid on Sentinel Driver for Dongles version 7.0.0, 7.4.2 and 7.6.1.

7.5. ESW PACKAGES AND IPC REQUIREMENTS

An ESW Package and the IPC version must have fulfilled the following tasks to be included in the Customer Baseline basis:

The ESW package version has been included in a formal Test.

The related User Manuals are updated according to the ESW Package functionality.

The IPC5xx and IPC911 have been included in a formal Test.
