1) Project Scope:Procon group will construct three bored tunnels using Shield cutting type method,constructed of renforced concrete segments with an internal diameter of appoximately10.8 meters.

Two Road Tunnels will be made according to following details:

Each road tunnel will be 3 KM in length and will have double lane each. Each roadturnel will be used for operation in one direction only. One slip lane of 0.6 meters and2 walk ways of 1 meter each will be provided in each road tunnel. Each tunnel will

have annexed structures for ventilation, dewatering, fire fighting systems, emergency exits, finishingand arrangement works, landscape and planning.

One Railwav Tunnel will be constructed with double track have length 3.25 Kilometres, each track,having standard gauge of 1435 mm, each track serving one direction. Clearance profile for double .track will be 8.1 m x 5.5 m and internal diameter of tunnel will be minimum 10.8 meter. Annexed

structures will be provided for lighting, ventilation, dewatering, and fire fighting systems. Sidingareas will be provided at entry and exit areas for shunting and manoeuvring for use of electriclocomotives.

2) Project Cost estimate:In order to calculate the project cost estimate, following information is needed:(a) Ground test report for full construction area every 30 meters.

(b) Project feasibility studies and report done by engineers of Egypt Government ministry for thisproject.

(c) Details of what support, facilities, contributions and protection, Egypt government will provideunder this PPP project plan.

(d) Procon group needs a clear drawing of Tunnel cross section view which is clear and legible toread. The present drawing given by Egypt government department is not legible.

3) Period of Construction:Procon group can complete this project in 4 Years.
