SUMMARY

Objective To bring into practice the ideas for a data management application by putting business needs into an application that will work how it is supposed to. The images used in this proposal were taken from a custom built application designed for a manufacturing company needing to track non-conforming items while simplifying product disposition and record keeping.

Some of the features included are:

• Designs to the application are based on your specifications and business needs. • The application uses a password-protected database to store records/information. • Images & documents related to each record may be uploaded and are stored in a specified separate network

location (independent of the record database files). • Program access is password-protected, options loaded at startup are based on user-rights defined and stored

within a separate database table. • User rights are completely customizable at any time by an authorized systems administrator (e.g options are set

when a user ID is created and may be modified anytime thereafter as employee roles may change). • Data entry sections may be based on forms used by employee operators in production areas and other work

centers throughout the facility. • Records are easy to query by keyword or customizable quick-links immediately after they are generated during

a production process. • As records are generated and acted upon (reviewed, signed off etc) en email is sent to a designated recipients

in customizable distribution list to alert key employees of the non-conforming product and it's status. • The scrap module of the application collects data in a standard (or basic view for simple ease of use experience)

or advanced view (designed to collect detailed information and data). • Features described above are only a few of the many available in the process quality data management

application.
