Warehouse

• Warehouse is controlled by portal transferer.

• Purpose is to be warehouse if another part of the line is not working

Robot and machine centers• Robot is controlling

two machine centers, it is the transferer in this part of the line.

• Machine centres finish the surfaces were the valve guides will be (accurate dimension). They also makes the surface finishing for the cavity were the inlet port ring and outlet port ring will be assembled. Both of the machine centres are doing the same work.

Washing machine

• After the machine centres, robot transfers cylinder heads in to the chain conveyor. Chain conveyor transfers cylinder heads to the washing machine. Purpose of the washing machine is remove the chips from previous operate. And washing detergent includes some anticorrosion detergents.

Pluging machine• Purpose is to

install the plugs to the holes which are on the sides of the cylinder heads.

Ringing machine• Purpose of ringing

machine is to install the outlet and inlet port rings and valve guides. Inlet and outlet rings are in the tank where is some liquid nitrogen(-160 degrees Celsius) cooling the rings helps the installing process.

Testing machine

• Purpose of the testing machine is check leaks in the cylinder heads. And especially the plugs are tested in this process. Testing machine makes under pressure in cylinder heads, if there is some leaks it will reject the cylinder heads before they goes forward.

Machine centre nro:3• Purpose of the

machine centre 3 is to mill the final shape and final surface to cylinder heads. After milling cylinder heads are moved by chain conveyer to the machine centre nro:4

Machine centre nro:4

• Purpose of machine centre 4 is to mill the final shape of bevels in outlet and inlet port rings. After that cylinder heads goes to the last process by roll conveyer.

Robot and washing machine• Robot tests the

valve guides with special tool. After the testing process if everything is ok, robot moves the cylinder heads to the washing machine. Washing machine makes the final wash and add some anticorrosion detergent to the cylinder heads.

Robot and washing machine

• After the washing process, robot moves ready cylinder heads to the tracks where the operator can take the ready cylinder heads off and pack them.
