Invacare® Pro-tech’s range of harnesses are designed specifically to provide added stability and support. Available in a wide range of styles means all aspects of postural problems can be addressed. Invacare® Harnesses Postural support harnesses are designed specifically to provide added stability and support, and promote optimum posture. They are easy to fit and adjust, and can be removed for machine washing at 40°C. All harnesses are made from nylon covered neoprene and are available in a range of sizes.

Dynamic Anti-Thrust Harness* Invacare’s® Anti-Thrust Harness rests on top of the seat under the buttocks, with the anterior straps coming between the legs and outward over the thighs, buckling near the proximal hip/thigh. The Anti-Thrust Harness helps to prevent sliding forward in the seat and can reduce the tendency for pelvic rotation, without restricting upper body movement. Made from nylon covered neoprene with adjustable straps.

Dynamic Harness Invacare’s® Dynamic Harness provides comfort along with a high level of support. This harness stretches to allow a small amount of movement, whilst aiding good positioning against the backrest when the person is relaxed. Made from nylon covered neoprene with soft stretch edges.

Shoulder Harness Invacare’s® Shoulder Harness incorporates pads designed to evenly distribute pressure across the chest and shoulder areas. The central quick release buckle allows quick fitting and removal. This harness is made from nylon covered neoprene with bound edges.

Y-Style Harness Invacare’s® Y-Style Harness is ideal for individuals with spinal/shoulder rotation and consequently require the pull and control on one body side only. This can be applied to the left or right side of the client and is suitable for male and female body shapes.

Safety

Postural harnesses are designed to provide postural support only and should not be used as a passenger restraint for transportation. A separate passenger restraint should always be used in line with the recommendations of the wheelchair manufacturer.

The harness should be fitted over the sternum and not be positioned around the neck. Allow enough space between the neck and the harness to ensure it does not pose a choking risk.

Always use in conjunction with an appropriately fitted pelvic belt, and ensure that the pelvis is well supported to minimise the risk of the user slipping down in the seat and choking on the harness.

Bottom Pivot Buckle Available on the Sternum, Shoulder and Dynamic harnesses, this feature allows for adjustment and comfort,

along with ease of release.

Nylon Covered Neoprene Pads Can be easily removed for machine

washing at 40°C.

Adjustable Top Straps Supplied as standard with plastic pull tight buckles and fixed length lower

straps.

Mounting Plates Supplied in pairs, these tri-slot

mounting plates enable a simpler fit-ting process of the chosen harness to the wheelchair. Available for 25mm

and 40mm webbing, these plates are made from reinforced plastic.

Frame Clamps Available to fit 19mm, 22mm and 25mm diameter frame tubing and

supplied with a 6mm Allen key fixing. Frame clamps are supplied as standard with all our belts and

harnesses.
