What is OMR? Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) is the process of scanning of paper sheets to detect pen or pencil mark made at a specific position. Optical Mark Readers (OMR Readers) are primarily used in big educational institutes for speedy data collection from Admission Forms and for quick checking of OMR Answer Sheets used in MCQ tests. OMR Software OMR Software is very cheap as compared to OMR Machines and so they are in reach of masses. OMR Software run on any computer with normal configuration and uses any image scanner model (Flatbed or ADF) for the purpose of OMR sheet scanning. OMR Software use simple OMR Sheet printed on laser printer or offset printing. OMR Software Solution is now becoming popular in various business domains and are widely used in OMR Answer Sheet checking of MCQ Examination for Assessments, Admission and Recruitment and in questionnaires for Surveys etc.

How OMR Software Works?

The filled OMR form can be scanned by any normal scanner. Scan and Read functionality allows you to scan and read the filled forms

simultaneously. Scan option allows scanning of the batch of OMR forms. The scanned form can be read with the speed of 150 sheets/ minute. Speed Booster functionality enables the software to double-up the speed of

reading (300 sheets/ minute). OMR Software automatically flip the reverse scanned images Smart reading feature identify faulty files which can be evaluated with accuracy

How OMR Software Process the Data?

Answer keys can directly be added from MS- Excel by copy-paste option. Unlimited number of question sets can be added. Unlimited number of sections can be added to display the section-wise scores. The added answer keys will automatically be mapped with the responses of

candidates & displays the score. The data can be exported into MS- Excel or CSV or there is another option called

Custom which facilitates you to choose your own data source for example: MS Access, SQL

How Answer Sheet, Questioner, and Survey forms can be designed in OMR Software?

Pre-defined OMR forms are available which are editable. OMR form can be designed by simple drag and drop functionality. Unlimited number of fields can be created by using matrix entity and labeled

entity. According to your requirement you can choose the question type (single choice,

multiple choice, match matrix and many more). Unlimited number of question and option counts can be added. Barcode and QR code can be added by simple clicks. The form can be designed in 4 different colors, which are Red, Green, Blue and

Orange. The designed form can be exported in PDF and CDR format

What is OMR sheet Scanner? OMR sheet scanner is that scanner which scan the answer sheet and provide the require data for software. After detect the data OMR software evaluate the data and publish result. There are various types of scanner based on speed, cost and brand. Types of scanner:

1. Flatbed or Low-end ADF scanner (20 sheets/min)

2. Hi-Speed ADF Image Scanner (50 sheets/min)
