Care Reform

Lord Jesus, you are the Divine Physician,And the source of all life and health.

Guide our nation at this critical moment,As our government seeks health care reforms.

Give our elected officials the humility to knowThat they are servants, not masters.

Give them the wisdom to realizeThat every life has equal value.

Give them the strength to resist the ideaThat some lives can be sacrificed to save othersOr that killing the unborn is a part of health care.

Give your people the courage to speak upAnd to hold public officials accountable for their

actions.

Save us, Lord Jesus, from a culture of death,And let every reform in our public policy

Be based on the reform of our hearts and mindsIn the light of your Gospel,

For you are Lord forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer to End AbortionLord God, I thank you today for the gift ofmy life, And for the lives of all mybrothers and sisters. I know there isnothing that destroys more life thanabortion, Yet I rejoice that you haveconquered death by the Resurrection ofYour Son. I am ready to do my part inending abortion. Today I commit myself

Never to be silent, Never to be passive,Never to be forgetful of the unborn. I

commit myself to be active in the pro-lifemovement, And never to stop defendinglife Until all my brothers and sisters areprotected, And our nation once againbecomes A nation with liberty and justiceNot just for some, but for all, Through

O Mary, Mother of the Life Within, alllife we entrust to you; The life of everyexpectant mother and the child withinher womb: The life of every human

body, the life of every human soul;The life of every newborn child andthe life of all grown old. You held theLord to your own heart and drew Himso close in. So draw us now in all ourneeds, O Mother of the Life Within.Amen.

Prayer to the VirginMary Mary, Mother of Jesus and

Mother of us all, we turn to you todayas the one who said "Yes" to Life. "Youwill conceive and bear a Son," the

angel told you. Despite the surpriseand the uncertainty about how thiscould be, you said yes. "Be it doneunto me according to your word."

Mary, we pray today for all motherswho are afraid to be mothers. We prayfor those who feel threatened and

overwhelmed by their pregnancy.Intercede for them, that God may givethem the grace to say yes and thecourage to go on. May they have thegrace to reject the false solution ofabortion. May they say with you, "Be itdone unto me according to your word."May they experience the help ofChristian people, and know the peacethat comes from doing God's will.

forth your creation of human life thatwe may live in Your image. Protect theinnocent babies so mercilessly being

O God, our Heavenly Father, You sentYour Son into this world that He might

Bless and Consecrate all life to You.

Your constant Love protected Him asthe Ever Virgin Mary bore Him in Her

womb for nine months.

In His mission He taught us theGreatness of Your Love and the

Sanctity of Life. We pray that we mayalways cherish the Lifethat You give

us.

In a special way we ask and pray thatYou Grace and Protect all unbornchildren with Your ever caring Love.

We pray this in the Name of Jesus,Who is Lord, Forever and Ever. Amen.

Father and maker of all, you adorn allcreation with splendor and beauty, andfashion human lives in your image andlikeness. Awaken in every heart

reverence for the work of your hands,and renew among your people areadiness to nurture and sustain yourprecious gift of life. Grant this throughour Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, wholives and reigns with you in the unity ofthe Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Father of us all, Author of all life, Ithank you for my life and theappreciation of it. Please help me toalways respect the lives of all yourchildren, from conception to naturaldeath. Let your Spirit enlighten theminds and open the hearts of thosewho do not fully respect all humanlife according to your will. Where

there is remorse, grant peace to allwomen and everyone affected bypast abortions. Lighten the burdensof all women with problempregnancies. Thank you, Father.

Welcome into Your loving care the soulsof all those children who are rejected bytheir mothers.

Look with compassion upon thosemothers who are driven by distress anddelusion to seek the lives of their ownoffspring.

Have mercy upon those who turn theirtraining in the healing arts to thepurposes of death.

Inspire Christians everywhere to seekout and apply Christian solutions to

social problems.

Bless our efforts to educate and serve.Help us to conduct them in the spirit ofhumility and love that will win minds andhearts to accept the truth, to minister tothose in need, and to forego the resort toviolence.
