Welcome

A very warm welcome to Marlborough College Malaysia’s Prize Day 2020.

We have explored and realised many truths during the recent months of challenge. Among them are the centrality to us of family and friendship.

For many of us, in an uncertain and changing world, the most valuable elements have been those which have remained constant. The reliable, the reassuring, unimpeachable and immutable.

At Marlborough College Malaysia, we endeavour to be agile and adaptable in our response to challenge, but we also aim to be true to our values and constant in our commitment to quality and our community.

This celebration is one of those constants. I am delighted that we are marking the end of the academic year by again celebrating the magnificent achievements of our girls and boys in all of the rich diversity that makes this special place more than a school.

We also celebrate our Upper Sixth who become Old Marlburians for the first time today and we thank them for their leadership and their companionship as they begin to forge their exciting futures with the support and fellowship of the Marlburian Club.

Finally, but importantly, this is also an opportunity to thank my colleagues for their inspiring, selfless and collegial work and our loyal parents for their support and encouragement throughout the last academic year.

I hope that you enjoy the programme.

With warmest regards

A.D. StevensMaster
