We have lots to offer this year, so many new attractions,eventsandideas,checkouttheWhat’sNewpage.TheBulkleyValley Exhibition is one of the most vibrant and popularcountryfairsintheNorth,supportedbyanamazingnetworkof community volunteers, businesses and individuals whoworktirelesslyandgive freelytomakethis fairhappenandbeasfantasticasitis.

Toalltheexhibitorsyoungandold,welcomebackandhellotoournewpeople,havefunsearchingthroughthisprizebook,findingyourregularclassesandhopefullysomenewonestoo!We know by the time fair rolls around this book will havebeenthumbedthroughcountlesstimes!SometraditionsaresoanticipatedandweknowthatthereleaseofthePrizebooksignals the start of the 2016 Bulkley Valley Exhibition formanyandwehopeyouenjoyeverystepofthewaytoAugust24th when Main Street welcomes the annual Parade! Afterthatit’sShowTimeFolks!

1. Please Note: ONE ENTRY FORM PEREXHIBITOR with First and Last Name alongwith complete mailing address and phonenumberisrequired.

2. Allentriesmustbemadeonprescribedformslocatedinthisbookoronlineatwww.bvfair.ca

3. Entry fees must accompany all entry forms.Moneyforexhibitors’passesandcampingfeesmust be included if required. No refund onentry fees and/or exhibitors’ passes except asoutlined in livestock and horse division rules.$25feeonNSFcheques.

4. EntryfeesareshownaboveeachDivisionorClass.5. Entryformsdeadline–seeeachdivision.6. Exhibitor passes may be purchased with

minimumrequirements–seespecificdivisionsformoredetails.

7. Exhibitor camping rates are available forexhibitors who meet minimum criteriaestablishedbyeachdivision.

8. Exhibitors who are showing in more than onedivisionwillbelimitedtothemaximumnumberofpassesinonedivisiononly.

9. Anyexhibitor,whoviolatesanyof theGeneralRules, or any of the rules printed herein, shallbe liable to forfeit any or all prize money andawardsmadetosuchanexhibitor,andmayalsobe barred from further competition for such aperiodasmaybedecidedbytheDirectors.

10. Exhibitorsofanimals,machineryinmotion,andotherexhibitsliabletocauseaccidents,injuryordamagetoproperty,ortoapersoncomingintocontactwiththem,shallguardtheirexhibitsandprotectthepublicfromcomingincontacttherewithin, and every exhibitor shall indemnifythe Association from and against all claims,demands, costs, charges and expenses whichmay occur, suffer, or be put to, by reason ofaccident,oranypersonproperlyguarded,orthepublicnotbeingproperlyguardedtherefrom.

11. Eachexhibitorshallassumeresponsibilityforanyinjury occasioned to himself, or his assistants,whileexhibitingorperforming.

12.TheAssociationwilltakeallresponsibleprecautiontoensurethesafetyofexhibitssenttotheexhibition,but the owners themselves must take the risk ofexhibitingthem,andshouldanyexhibit,orportionthereof,beinjured,lostorstolen,theAssociationwill give assistance to the recovery of same, butwillnotbe liable,ormakepaymentforthevaluethereof.NightwatchmenwillbeemployedbytheAssociationduringtheexhibition.

13. AllPerpetualTrophiesmustbereturned to theoffice30dayspriortothestartoftheExhibition.

14. Judgesdecisionswillbefinal.15. Allprotestsorappealsmustbemadeinwriting,

must state plainly the cause of the complaint,and must be delivered to the BVX General

Manager within 48 hours of the closing of thefair,accompaniedbyacertifiedchequefor$100,refundable if the complaint is upheld by theBoardofDirectors.

16. In offering prizes set out in this prize list,the Directors of the Association wish it to beunderstood that, in the event of funds at thedisposalof theAssociationnotbeingadequatetocoverprizemoneyinfull,aproratareductionwill be made. Special prizes offered by outsidepartieswillbepaidtothewinnersifreceivedbytheAssociation.

17. No reissuing of prize money cheques will beundertaken. All certificates must be redeemedbyDecember31ofthecurrentyear.

18. Exhibitremoval:After4pmSunday.Ifexhibitsareremovedpriorto4pmSunday,prizemoneywillbeforfeited.

19. Allprizemoneywillbemailedwithin45daysofthefinaldayofthefair.

20.Saleofraffleticketsisrestrictedtorentedboothsonly, and must meet with the approval of theAssociation. Organizations are responsible fortheir own lottery licenses and a copy must besubmittedtotheofficeone(1)weekpriortothefirstdayoftheexhibition.

21. TheAssociation reserves the right to refuseorterminate any exhibit or display it deems tobe illegal, immoral, or not in keeping with theatmosphereoftheexhibition,andtoreturnanyentryfeewithoutbeingliableforcompensation.

22. Admissiontothegroundswillbebyticketorpassonly.Nobadgeorribbonwillpermitentrytothegrounds.

23.All vehicle and/or camping passes issuedmust be hung in front windshield of vehicleor admission to the grounds will be refused.Duringtheexhibition,vehiclesnotdisplayingpasses will be towed away at the owners’expense.Vehiclepassesarelimited–seeentryformsfordetails.

24.Campingfeeswillbechargedforeachcampingsiteonthegrounds.Asspaceislimited,campingisavailableona“firstcomebasis”.Additionally,

allcampersmustpurchasea4daypasstotheexhibition.Campingwristbandsmustbewornatalltimesduringtheexhibition.Newforthisyear all campers must complete a campingapplication form. Available online at www.bvfair.caandatBVXFairOffice.

25. Camping is family friendly and alcohol mayonlybeconsumedindesignatedcampsites.Theassociation reserves the right to evict campingguests or exhibitors who create a disturbanceand/ornuisancetoothercampersandfairgoers.

26.Parking and camping are under the controlof the grounds and camp managers. Guests

and exhibitors must confine their vehicles andcampsitestothedesignatedareas.Violatorsmayhave their privileges revoked and/or vehiclestowedatowner’sexpense.Novehiclesmovementongroundsbetween10amand6pm.

27. Alldogsonthegroundsmustdisplayafair-issuedpermit.Furthertothis,TownofSmithersbylawsrequiresyoutocleanupafteryourdogandhaveyourdogon-leashatalltimes.Anyuncontrolleddogswillberemoved.ThispolicyadherestotheTown of Smithers dog leash bylaw and will bestrictlyenforced.
