CUSTOMIZED PRIVATE TOURS IN FLORENCE WHY A GUIDED TOUR? Florence is a breathtaking city, but not an easy one to explore - especially in high season - if you don’t have a lot of time at hand. One of the best ways to avoid the queues in front of the Uffizi and other museums is to book a private expert tour (tickets are pre-booked by your guide), which will take you right into the heart of the birthplace of the Renaissance. ITINERARIES Private tours can be entirely customized according to your areas of interest. Below just some examples of my private highlights: Florence for families: a cultural introduction for every age group with an obligatory ice cream stop in one of Florence’ best gelateria. Uffizi: the classic - best done in the early morning when the museum is a little less busy. Life in the Renaissance: my favourite and a great way to approach Florence with children. Oltrarno and its artisans: the lesser known Florence and its artisan shops. Tracking down Dante: a tour following the footsteps of the author of the Divine Comedy.

CUSTOMIZED PRIVATE TOURS IN FLORENCE

WHY A GUIDED TOUR?

Florence is a breathtaking city, but not an easy one to explore - especially in high season -

if you don’t have a lot of time at hand. One of the best ways to avoid the queues in front of

the Uffizi and other museums is to book a private expert tour (tickets are pre-booked by

your guide), which will take you right into the heart of the birthplace of the Renaissance.

ITINERARIES

Private tours can be entirely customized according to your areas of interest. Below just

some examples of my private highlights:

Florence for families: a cultural introduction for every age group with an

obligatory ice cream stop in one of Florence’ best gelateria.

Uffizi: the classic - best done in the early morning when the museum is a little less

busy.

Life in the Renaissance: my favourite and a great way to approach Florence with

children.

Oltrarno and its artisans: the lesser known Florence and its artisan shops.

Tracking down Dante: a tour following the footsteps of the author of the Divine

Comedy.

OUR EXPERT GUIDE

Molly is an American who has studied Italian literature in Siena, Venice and Florence. She

lives with her Italian husband (a Tuscan landscape architect) and their young daughter in

Pistoia. Molly is a certified guide and specializes in art historical tours in and around

Florence and also designs fun art tours and activities for kids. She loves the unique artisan

shops in the Oltrarno area, which keep passing on many a technique used since the

Renaissance - hence many of her tours will end with a stop in one of them.

PRICES

Three hour tours start from 240€ for groups of two people and more (museum tickets are

being paid separately). Prices for full day tours are available on request.

Chauffeur driven car service from your villa to Florence and back can be organized with

prior notice. We can also help figure out the Italian train or bus timetable if you’d like to

make your way to Florence with public transport (often a surprisingly good alternative to

having to park your car in the city centre).

RESERVATION To make a booking please contact Katja under [email protected]. She will handle your reservation, which needs to be confirmed with a booking fee via credit card (we will provide you with the link). The balance can be paid directly to our guide by the end of the tour. For more information about Florence and photos from the artisan shops in the Oltrarno quarters, click through to our Trust & Travel blog.
