Detailed Itinerary Day 1 Saturday 30th September Welcome to Easter Island! Upon arrival you will be welcomed at the airport with a traditional

flower necklace and take a short private transfer to your hotel for check-in. Easter Island, known as Rapa Nui to its Polynesian inhabitants, is a small volcanic island in the Pacific Ocean. Located over 2000 miles from the Chilean mainland, Easter Island is one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world. It boasts stunning scenery, a rugged coastline and the compelling and intriguing history from which the Moais (giant statues) were born. A trip to Easter Island is a once in a lifetime experience and visitors will be captivated by this wonderfully isolated gem. The rest of the day is at leisure so why not wander around the small town of Hanga Roa. See the island’s Catholic church with its interesting carvings and visit the local museum which is a good introduction to the island’s history. Overnight Hare Noi (Deluxe Room) Today’s meal inclusions – None

Day 2 Sunday 1st October Today on your private tour you’ll delve into the fascinating history of Rapa Nui.

Leaving the town of Hanga Roa behind, head south along the coast enjoying views of the black volcanic rocks of the Poike Peninsula contrasted against the sparkling Pacific Ocean, The first stop of the day is at Hange Te'e where you will have your first glimpse of some infamous Moai statues, now lying toppled face down on the hillside. Continue onward to Rano Raraku, here you can learn how this ancient civilization mined, crafted and moved these enormous slabs of rock. You will enjoy lunch in Rano Raraku before heading on to the Ahu Tongariki, a restored site on which 15 gigantic moais sit facing inland against an ocean backdrop - a truly impressive sight. The final stop on today’s tour will be Anakena Beach, home to white sands and swaying palms. Here you will have free time to rest and take a refreshing swim in the ocean, all the while being overlooked by a number of restored Moai statues. Overnight Hare Noi (Deluxe Room) Today’s meal inclusions – Breakfast & Lunch

Day 3 Monday 2nd October Today embark on your private tour to explore the different tribes and cultures of Rapa Nui.

You'll start the day at Rano Kau, an extinct Volcano where you will have panoramic views out over the entire island. Visit the Orongo village and learn about the Birdman cult, a mythology that the island residents took up after the decline of Moais statue worship. Next, stop for a visit to see the stonemasonry skills at Ahu Vinapu and the cave paintings at Ana Kai Tangata. There will be a break for lunch (at own expense) and then you will travel to Ahu Akivi, a site where seven iconic moais, unlike any other on the island, all face out towards the ocean. From here you will continue on to Hanga Poukaos, a site of tribal wars where the moais adorned with Pukaos (hat like structures) have been knocked over during battle. Here you will see the quarry where the red stone was procured to make the hats and learn about the history of conflict among the tribes on the island. The final stop of the day will be Tahai, a ceremonial site which boasts restored moais and the foundations of historic hare paenga, traditional houses, also called boathouses due to their canoe like shape. After your tour, return to your hotel to relax. Later this evening, transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Overnight Hare Noi (Deluxe Room) Today’s meal inclusions – Breakfast
