From Fredrik Roijé’s Square series, the Square Chair is a combination of different shaped wood to form fully-functional furniture with an unusual design. It can be compared to Gerrit Thomas Rietveld’s Berlin Chair but with a more modernist approach.

Samsung Proxima is a revolutionary concept by Johan Loekito, an Industrial Design graduate. It’s a wristwatch and mobile phone in one with a sensor. The built-in sensor will sound an alarm should the phone go beyond the limited proximity, hence, the tagline, “Never lose your phone again”.

Magazines with fine-looking covers, just like Monday’s, need not be stacked in shelves. Fredrik Roijé designed ‘Guidelines’ magazine orga-nizer with a concept of criss-crossing lines on the right path and angles to produce a balanced proportion. Available in two sizes and comes with white, black, and primary colours.

Nixon combined wood with stain-less steel in the new version of The Chronicle time piece which creates a distinct but stylish look. The wooden material adds up a subtle statement giving the classic watch a contempo-rary feel.

The brainchild of designer Andreas Licht, HERRLICHT perfected the art of wooden frame-making and became famous with their designs and craftsmanship. HERRLICHT wood frames are made of 100% wood- maple, pear or walnut. Each pair of glasses is exclusively made to order and is in no way mass-produced.

Laurie Beckerman, a New York-based designer, created this unusual chair called Ionic Bench. It is made from one-inch thick Baltic birch plywood; the bench’s profile is cut out 18 times with the use of CNC technology. The slices are laminated together for a strong, curvaceous form. The surfaces that reveal the plies are finely sanded and coated with a high–quality Italian acrylic; the result is a seat that is sensu-ously smooth to the touch.

Schultze has a degree in Architecture, an Architect’s License, and a Masters of Industrial Design from the prestigious Art Center College of Art + Design in Pasadena, CA.

The all glass kettle that can be placed directly on your stove top. Tea leaves or bags may be placed inside a tea egg that is attached to a silicone strap. When you’re done brewing, pull the silicone string and the egg steeper immediately secures itself to the lid. Pour tea and enjoy.

Le PumpkinHow do you quench some serious thirst and still find room for your make-up kit, iPod and gym wear? Mathieu Lehanneur and Julien Benayoun first developed the project in 2008. Recently, Harvard Profes-sor David Edwards took Benayoun’s place and The Pumpkin was com-pleted. Patterned after the biological cell, the contraption is composed of two detachable parts that clip together for easier transport of water and belongings. The Pumpkin can hold up to 15L of water.
