Literature Review
Natural drought is categorized into 4 types namely; (1) Meteorological drought; (2)
Hydrological Drought; (3) Agricultural drought; and (4) Socio-economic drought [9,10,11].
Food insecurity is a household-level economic and social condition of limited or uncertain
access to adequate food [22].
Mapping of drought and food insecurity areas compiled with Geographic Information System
(GIS) [22].
Mitigation of drought includes: (1) building early warning systems, (2) improving water
conservation,, (3) preparing drought mitigation planning, (4) public awareness [12,13].

Priority Regions of Mitigation for Drought and Food Insecurity
The first priority region is located inthe south western of Lebak Regency,which covers 5 districts and spreadsin 18 villages.
The conditions in quadrant I indicatethe first priority region for mitigationof drought and food insecurity
Conclusion
1. The drought region tends to be in the north (northeast) region, close to the regency capital and the south (southwest) part is relatively far from the capital;
2. The classification of rather food insecurity region tends to be in the southern part, which is relatively far from the district capital.
3. Based on the study of drought and food insecurity regions, it was found that the first priority region was concentrated in the southwestern part of Lebak Regency.
