How to clean Crypton® with soap and water:Throughout the years we have recommended that a mild powered enzyme detergent mixedwith water is a very effective way to clean Crypton®. It still is. If you choose to use an enzymedetergent, mix 5 parts water with 1 part enzyme detergent (like Tide®/Cheer®).

CRYPTON® IS BLEACH-CLEANABLEFor some specific health care concerns, such as C. difficile, a spore that requires bleachcleaning, the CDC (center for desease control and prevention) requires a 10% bleach / 90%water mixture to effectively kill any such growth. The 100% Polyester andAcrylic Crypton®printed fabric shown will safely withstand such cleaning and there will not be any color lossafter allowing the mixture to remain on the surface for the required 10-minute dwell time.Simply rinse the solution with water after cleaning using standard extraction equipment.Caution: Color loss can result from higher concentration, longer dwell time, or not rinsing.

EASY CLEANING STEPS1. If the spot has dried, try lightly brushing or scrape off the residual. Wipe with wet towel.2. If a spot still remains, apply the soap and water solutiion to the spot with a light mist.3. Work area using soft brush or edge of spoon from outside of spot towards the middle.4. Allow solution to work for approximately one minute.5. Extract with clean water or blot with clean white towel.6. Repeat steps 3-5 as necessary until spot is removed.7. Rinse with clear luke warm water and blot with a clean soft white towel as the final step.Again...make positively certain all soap is completely removed as soap residue will attractmore dirt.

HELPFULHINTS* Before cleaning, vacuum the upholstery.* Never spread the spot to the surrounding clean fiber.* Go slowly, repeat the steps until the spot is removed.* Do not use a stiff brush that may scratch or tear fibers in the fabric.* Always seek to reduce the size of the spot.* As always, test the soap and water solution in a hidden area before proceeding.

STEAM CLEANINGSteam cleaning is another fine method of thoroughly cleaning Crypton®. Spots can beremoved by pre-treating them with the soap solution outlined above or a pre-treatmentsolution from the steam cleaning company. Most solutions provided by these companiesare acceptable for Crypton® fabrics.** Never use solvent cleaners on Crypton® fabric.**
