• Disengage the electric clutch (PTO). Shut off theengine and wait for all moving parts to stop beforeattaching, adjusting, or disconnecting any part ofthe collection system.

• Check the collection system to make sure it isbolted tightly to the rider.

• DO NOT operate the mower without either theentire grass catcher or the deflector in place.

• Turn off the PTO switch to disengage the bladeswhen not mowing.

• DO NOT mow in reverse. Always look down andbehind before and while travelling in reverse.

• DO NOT turn sharply when travelling alongside abuilding or any object. Slow down before turning.

• DO NOT carry passengers on the rider.

• When blower assembly is removed from the mowerdeck, the deflector must be properly installed.

• Collector bags are subject to deterioration andwear during normal use. Inspect the bagperiodically for tears, holes or weak spots andreplace with a new bag that meets manufacturer’sdurability standards.

• If the mower stalls or the turbo blower chute plugs:

1. Disengage the electric clutch (PTO);

2. Stop the engine and remove the key;

3. Set the parking brake, and wait for all movingparts to stop.

4. Remove the foreign object or clear the chutewith a piece of wood before restarting theengine. NEVER place hands into blowerhousing to clear jammed object. Blowermay rotate when object is removed.

• For added rider stability and to prevent tipping orloss of control:

a. Use reduced speed on uneven ground andwhen turning corners.

BEFORE OPERATIONClear the lawn of all sticks, stones, wire and other debriswhich may be caught or thrown by the mower blades.

Check grass condition. If wet, wait until later in the day.If grass is wet, the grass catcher is likely to becomeplugged.

For efficient bagging, air circulation under themower deck, through the chute and into the bag isvery important.

For this reason, BEFORE YOU BEGIN MOWING youshould make certain the underside of the mower andthe underside of the catcher lid are free from grass anddebris.

Make sure that there is a snug fit between mower

deck, blower housing, tubes, and grass catcher cover.

MOWING WITH THE DOUBLE /TRIPLE CATCHERAlways operate with throttle at full speed whenmowing.

Always wear hearing protection when operatinggrass catcher.

Grass should be cut often, and not too short. If grassis too long or lush it may be necessary to keepground speed to a minimum or to cut only half thewidth of the mower to prevent clogging. If grass islong, operate with mower in high cutting position forfirst pass, cutting again in a lower position on asecond pass.

Do not open the cover with mower engaged.

If a large amount of cut grass is spilling out fromunder deck, the tube may be plugged or the bagsmay be full. Discontinue mowing, stop the rider, disengage the PTO and then empty the catcher orclear the tube.

WARNINGALWAYS shut off the tractor. Disengage thePTO, and allow all moving parts to stopBEFORE disconnecting or clearing tube, oremptying catcher.

Before leaving the operator’s position for anyreason, engage the parking brake, disengagethe PTO, stop the engine and remove the key.

To reduce fire hazard, keep the engine, riderand mower free of grass, leaves and excessgrease. Do not stop or park rider over dryleaves, grass or combustible materials.

CAUTIONThis machine produces sound levels inexcess of 85 dBA at the operator’s earand can cause hearing loss thoughextended periods of exposure.

Wear hearing protection when operating thismachine.

Operation

AFTER OPERATIONRemove any debris from the the screen on theunderside of the lid. Note: The lid screen can bepartially removed for easier cleaning and should becleaned regularly.

The blower housing and tube should be removed forcleaning.

Inspect the grass bags for wear or damage. Makesure that there is a snug fit between mower deck, blower housing, tubes, and grass catcher cover.

STORING THE GRASS CATCHERClean the grass catcher thoroughly using a milddetergent (other products may damage the tube).Remove any debris from the the screen on theunderside of the lid. The screen can be partiallyremoved for easier cleaning.

If paint has been scratched on metal parts, touch upwith paint, or apply a thin film of oil to preventcorrosion.

Store in a dry area. Hang the catcher and catcherbags to dry thoroughly before storing for a long period

of time. Always store away from moisture.

MOWING WITHOUT THE BLOWERFor operation without the blower, the deflector mustbe properly installed in the down position.
