CYPRESS CA - Yamaha Factory rac-er Grant Langston was injured during a practice crash at the Yamaha test track in Corona, CA. While preparing for the upcoming Phoenix Supercross on Thurs-day January 11th, Grant went down and, fear-ing he had injured his collarbone, i m m e d i -ately went to the local hospital.
After meeting with his doctors, it was confirmed that Grant Langston did, in fact, break his collarbone. The likeable South African will be forced to miss at least the next four to six rounds of the AMA Supercross series.
Yamaha will update Grant’s condition and possible return date as Grant moves forward with his recovery and return to the Supercross series.

saki teammate Darcy Lange, of Hemet, California. The trio put on quite a battle up front, exchanging the lead a couple of times while pulling from away from the field. On lap 12, Dungey crashed while trying to make a pass on Townley for the lead and dropped out of conten-tion. Lange made a pass to the lead at the end of lap 14, but was quickly re-passed by Townley with one lap remaining. Lange closed to within a bike length of his teammate before a spectacular crash, ironically in the same spot as Dungey’s earlier crash, ended his chance at a win. Townley went on to take the win, fol-lowed by Yamaha’s Ryan Morais, of Tem-ecula, Calif., and Matt Goerke, of Lake Helen, Fla.
This weekend’s AMA Supercross race will air on SPEED, Sunday, March 4, at 6:00 p.m. EST. The AMA Supercross Li-tes class race will air on SPEED, Friday, March 16, at 4:30 p.m. EST. The next round of Amp’d Mobile Supercross takes place on Friday, March 9, at the Daytona Motor Speedway.

BUDDS CREEK Carmichael comes to Budds Creek heavily favored to win the premier AMA Motocross class on his Makita Suzuki RM-Z450. It’s easy to understand why the six-time AMA Mo-tocross Champion is the clear-cut favor-ite. He’s never lost an AMA Motocross national at the popular Maryland track since moving up to the premier class in 2000. He’ll be going for an unprec-edented seventh victory in the class this Sunday. In addition, Carmichael is com-ing off a victory in Southwick, Mass., last Sunday. The victory extending the Floridian’s lead over Australian Chad Reed, of Team Yamaha, to 14 points.
Honda’s Davi Millsaps continued his strong freshman season in the series by scoring his second podium result at Southwick. A tight back flared up on the young Georgian last week. He’s hoping to stay loose at Budds Creek so he can prolong his solid run.
Kawasaki’s number one rider James Stewart continued his hot and cold sea-son last week. He won the first moto before a reported mechanical problem led to a crash in the second moto.
Stewart has made history at Budds Creek before. In 2003 Budds Creek was his first race back after being injured during the AMA Supercross season. Even though he wasn’t 100 percent that
year, he shocked everyone by making a triumphant return and winning the Motocross Lites class (then called 125 class).
The two are pushing their bikes right up to and often beyond the limits in their high-speed battles.
“Either I’m crashing or he’s crashingnearly every weekend,” Carmichael said. “At this level something is bound to happen. I’m just trying to keep string-ing good motos together. We usually get heat and humidity at Budds Creek. Those are just the kindof conditions I practice inall the time, so I’mlooking forward toanother good battlethere.”
Reed is looking for his first win atBudds Creek. The well-liked Aussiehas finished on the podium at every round this year and as aresult is as close to Carmichaelat this point in the season ashe’s ever been.

ST. LOUIS Suzuki’s Ricky Carmichael made a victorious return to the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series with an impressive win before a crowd of 58,131 at the Edwards Jones Dome. Kawasaki’s Ben Townley picked up the first-ever AMA Supercross Lites victory. Yamaha’s Chad Reed, of Tampa Fla., grabbed the $1,500 Progressive Direct Holeshot Award to start the 20-lap main event. On the opening lap, Reed tangled with Kawasaki’s James Stewart, drop-ping the riders from the top two posi-tions. Carmichael was the benefactor and took the lead on lap four, overcom-ing his poor start. Carmichael’s lead would quickly grow as Stewart, who fell to the back of the pack after getting together with Reed, was making his move through the field. Stewart, of Haines City, Fla., eventually tracked down Reed and passed him on lap 12, giving him second on the night. Reed finished third. “I don’t know if I would have caught them after spotting them all those posi-
tions,” said Carmichael, referring tohis poor start. “I saw Chad and James
go down, so that helped, but I sawChad get back up right behind me. I
got into the lead but I was lookingforward to racing them. I was in my zone
tonight but I got a gift.”
In reference to Stewart and Reeds colli-sion, Reed said, “Every week I’m getting
pushed around. It’s racing but hethinks he can walk all over me and
I’m gonna put an end to that.”
Townley, of Tallahassee, won the$1,000 Progressive Direct Holeshot Award to start the Eastern Regional
AMA Supercross Lites main event. He was followed by Suzuki’s RyanDungey,
of Belle Plaine, Minn., and his Kawa-
RYAN HUGHES took the win in Round two of the WORCS series to es-tablish himself firmly in the lead for the Championship. On a fun, but brutal course, “Ryno” gated in the top ten and then moved into the lead late in the first lap.
The Pro field of some of the fastest rid-ers on the planet charged after Hughes. The only rider who could keep him in sight was Kurt Caselli. Hughes worked up an almost 50 second lead through the event, but Caselli continued to attack and to close the gap in the later stages of the race, cutting Hughes lead down to just seven seconds at the white flag. But Hughes would not be denied his first big victory since breaking his right arm al-most eight months ago. Hughes cruised across the finish line a full five seconds ahead of Caselli to take the win and the points lead in the WORCS Series.

TOKYO
The world’s most populous city is connected to the rest of the country by high-speed bullet trains but is it-self a crazy quilt of traffic-blocking narrow lanes, which one writer fond-ly called Tokyo’s “comfortable old streets.” The city was called Edo until the shoguns were swept away by the
Meiji Restoration in 1868, when the em-peror established his court here and renamed the city Tokyo. The center of Tokyo is the Imperial Palace; all around it are newer buildings erected in the wake of the terrible earthquake and fire of 1923 and the devastation rained upon the city in World War II. Tokyo boasts 30 percent of Japan’s university students, and features numerous museums. But business, espe-cially the service industry, dominates Tokyo, with almost 800,000 separate companies hard at work, many in the area around the Imperial Palace.

How Sweden Is Helping the Arts Nation-WideSwedish art clubs are non-profit organisations for promoting an interest in the visual arts and hand crafts. They also create opportunities for artists to exhibit their work and thereby become known to a wider public. The Swed-ish art club movement is the second largest voluntary nation-wide organisation – only choral societies exceed their number. The first public art club in Sweden was founded in 1832, Konstföreningen i Stockholm (The Stock-holm Art Club), today called Sveriges Allmänna Konstförening – SAK, now open for members all over Sweden. The first art club at a work place was started in 1940 at the CAP chocolate factory in Gothenburg. Sveriges Konst-föreningar was founded in 1973 to form an umbrella organisation for the member art clubs in Sweden. Sveriges Konstföreningar has 1 200 member art clubs. 350 of these are public art clubs, open to anyone, and 850 are to be found in work places, open only to the respective employees.
400 000 people are engaged in the art club movement. Every year, these clubs arrange 3 700 exhibitions and 5 500 various cultural programmes such as talks, study groups, excursions and visits to artists. Moreover, the art clubs buy and distribute art for 123 million Swedish kronor every year. The principal undertakings of Sveriges Konstföreningar are to provide advice and support to the member art clubs, to promote knowledge about visual arts and hand craft, to produce and distribute educational material and to encourage the establishment of new art clubs. Yet another undertaking is to distribute state-financed exhibition fees to artists who show their work at member art clubs.
Sveriges Konstföreningar aims at developing a dynamic national educational visual arts programme. Our chairperson, Cecilia Nelson: “The board of Sveriges Konstföreningar has taken on a challenge: to be Sweden’s leading institution for visual art education! To achieve this, both knowledge and in-sight are necessary. Knowledge is gained from the environment, for example from courses and seminars, insight grows within the individual. Art education a process in two directions – is a tool with which we can see and understand our entire existence. Let us embark on this stimulating journey together!”

Yes I will
The night is aging as the sun warms your faceWon’t you turn around and stay for good, the air is getting much too coldI am nervous and anxious, it really counts this time And you know all my favorite singers have stolen all of my best lines
Well I can hardly wait until I get the sun and your lips both pressing on my skinWell I can hardly wait until I feel that thrill my heart that starts inside your eyesAnd a song in my head that burns so good on my tongueYes I will, yeah, yeahYes I will, yeah, yeahYes I will
Someday I’ll burn this bedOnly two feet wide, but where I’ll hide for the next 17 daysI will ask myself, “How badly do I want this?”I really want thisWell I can hardly wait until I get the sun and your lips both pressing on my skinWell I can hardly wait until I feel that thrill my heart that starts inside your eyesAnd a song in my head that burns so good on my tongueYes I will, yeah, yeahYes I will, yeah, yeahYes I will
donner partySo it began this way, I can’t recall how it got startedSo it began this way, I don’t recall a thingAnd all in all I guess it’s for the betterIf you don’t remember anything, sit and singThere was a time when everything we did seemed second natureThere was a time when everything we
did seemed freeAnd all in all I guess it’s for the better If you don’t remember anything, sit and sing
And I wanted you to knowIt was you that we were thinking of as we quietly died in the snowA place we’d never leave A place we’d never want to call homeA place we’d call a final resting place in pieces
So we began this way, I don’t recall where we got startedAnd so we end this way no trace of us in springAll in all, I guess it’s for the better if you just can’t feel a fucking thingFall asleep and die
And I wanted you to knowIt was you that we were thinking of as we quietly died in the snowA place we’d never leaveA place we’d never want to call homeA place we’d call a final resting place in pieces
And I wanted you to knowIt was you that we were thinking of as we quietly died in the snowA place we’d never leave A place we’d never want to call homeA place we’d call a final resting place in pieces
if we never go insideA train appeared in town one night, for some of us it changed our livesA few of us never saw it coming, then like the fire it disappearedIt happens at a wonderful age, with the traffic lights your mind can changeWe made up rules to follow for goodNo wonder we’re fucked up, some of us didTonight never ends if we never go insideThe moon is always full
Your calendar is always pinned on summertime
Were you planning on staying forever? You don’t fit in this hole, or don’t you remember?Hold your breath Walk, don’t run, through the graveyard

I’m just scared I might never say goodbyeI won’t be around to hold you down, pry open your ears and ask you why
Were you planning on staying forever? You don’t fit in this hole, or don’t you remember?Hold your breath Walk, don’t run, through the graveyard
Is this why you’ve worked so hard?Is this why you’ve run so far?Same place, same hello, same goodbyeHelps you pick through beat up insides
Blue in the faceIt’s about time that I came clean with youI’m no longer fine, I’m no longer run-ning smoothI thought that I found myself under something newJust one more line I repeat over and over again‘Till I’m blue in the face with a choking regretBecause I talk in circles ‘round you on my bedCan’t say I blame you one bit when you kept it all inside
THIS COULD BE LOVEI’ve got a book of matchesI’ve got a can of keroseneI’ve got some bad ideas involving you and meI don’t blame you for walking awayI touched myself had thoughts of flamesI shat the bed and laid there in itThinking of you wide awake for daysWide awake for days
And I found you tongue-tied in my twisted little brainYou couldn’t crack a smileI didn’t catch your nameI don’t blame you for walking awayI’d do the same if I saw meI swear it’s not contagiousIn four short steps we can erase this
Step one -- slit my throatStep two -- play in my bloodStep three -- cover me in dirty sheets and run laughing out of the houseStep four -- stop off at Edgebrook Creek and rinse your crimson handsYou took me hostage and made your demandsI couldn’t meet them so you cut off my fingers, one by one
I’m like a broken recordI’ve got a needle scratching meIt injects the poison of alcohol I.V.I don’t blame you for walking awayI’d do the same if I saw meI swear it’s not contagiousI swear to God it’s not contagious
Step one -- slit my throatStep two -- play in my bloodStep three -- cover me in dirty sheets and run laughing out of the houseStep four -- stop at Lake Michigan and rinse your crimson handsYou took me hostage and made your demandsI couldn’t meet them so you cut off my fingers, one by oneThis could be love - love for fire

WE`VE HAD ENOUGHIn the shadows where the heads hang lowYou hear voices as the wind blows, ask-ing “can’t you see?”Reminding you to breatheIt’s only time before it catches up to you and all your broken luckI found a better way to get even with my memory
In the darkness where the angels cryGive us water, give us back our eyesOur bed’s this concrete floor, and it’s all we have left to live forA day we’ll never faceWe’re only second-handed, sick, and lonelyFighting back the tears and every urge to Van Gogh both our ears
That said, we’ve had enoughPlease turn that fucking radio offAin’t nothing on the air waving the despair we feel

So close to perfect, swear to hell, thought it was youThis bouncing baby boy’s now turning baby blueI’ve got your pictures on my wallsI’ve got a long list of calls I must make to your existing familyYou had nine lives and one by one you chewed ‘em upYour final coffin nail’s been driven fartoo muchThis won’t take long, you said, I’m not
going far
Go wait in the carGo wait in the car
I often wonder what it feels like to be youA mess like this stuck on your hands with crazy glueRan out of time, no kiss goodbyeWish I could learn to let this sleeping dog die without lying to myself
You had nine lives and one by one you chewed ‘em upYour final coffin nail’s been driven far too muchThis won’t take long, you said, I’m not going farGo wait in the carGo wait in the car

ALL ON BLACKI put it all on black, no color you’re all dressed inAnd a stab in the back left you bleeding on the floorAnd I’m mourning the death, the recent passing of your insidesI smile in regret every time I think of how I spoke to you
I put it all in back of my mind where I hold youI’m just trying to keep track how far back it really goesAnd I’m living in lack of the blood sent from the heavensI’m just trying to relax as the killer’s waiting right outside my door What’s black and white?
What’s read all over? This tired book, this organ donor
Sweet blasphemy, my giving treeIt hasn’t rained in yearsI bring to you this sacrificial offering of virgin earsLeave it to me, I remain free from all the comforts of homeAnd where that is, I’m pleased as piss to say, I’ll never really know
I put them all in black, the four walls of my bedroomAnd I trimmed them in red, peeled your picture off the wallAnd I’m living in lack of the blood sent from your heartbeatThat arrived in your neck every time I salivated over you
What’s upside down? What’s coated in silver? This crucifix is my four leaf clover
Sweet blasphemy, my giving treeIt hasn’t rained in yearsI bring to you this sacrificial offering of virgin earsLeave it to me, I remain free from all the comforts of homeAnd where that is, I’m pleased as piss to say, I’ll never really know
One of these days, it’s gonna catch up to youThrowing looks like those aroundOne of these nights, I promise to youI’ll soon be sleeping soundAs soon as I leave town
EmmaEmma appeared like an angelEmma fell like rainInto my lap like a heart attack, like light-ning from her nameI’m running dry of bad excusesDon’t want to lie or seem intrusiveBut time hasn’t told me anything, and neither has she
Traded true love for insult and injuryWe washed it down the drain with one silver bullet and two vicodinWith two vicodin
Emma woke up in darkness, suitcase already packedNote on the bedstand signed in blood, “Sincerely, never coming back.”A nightmare on my street the day she arrivedA nightmarish household in which she died, because it made her feel at homeSomehow made me feel at home
A poinsettia in poison rainTraded true love for insult and injuryWe washed it down the drain with one wooden stake through the heart and two vicodin
A poinsettia in poison rainTraded true love for insult and injuryWe washed it down the drain with one silver bullet and two vicodinWe watched the sun fall crown on a city that sleeps in a world upside downA slow ticket straight out of town You went out with a bang when you took with you all my dreams under-groundWith you all my dreams underground
Fatally yoursThere’s no mystery no more, just no talking to youGuess you had other things in storeGuess I felt I was throughI answered every question as accurately as I could
I don’t hear from you no more, but I get the messageYou crashed your car through my front door, I pulled you from the wreckageYou told me that you missed meBut you meant with the grill and hood you’d kill me if you could
And if it’s okay, I’ll just grab my shit the
and leaveI won’t say one word, I’ll keep my tricks up my sleeveFlew off of the handle, you opened fire on mePut me down, put me out of miseryI’m fatally yours tables turningI had a friend that needed meYou made a wish that won’t come true, and now it’s killing two
And if it’s okay, I’ll just grab my shit and leaveI won’t say one word, I’ll keep my tricks up my sleeveFlew off of the handle, you opened fire on me
You set fire to me that night, you lit and left me burningOut of my mind, but in my sights, I saw Put me down, put me out of miseryI’m fatally yoursI’m fatally yoursI’m fatally yoursI’m fatally yoursI’m fatally yours
