WEST used PAPR to analyze journal holdings files from members during fall/winter 2011 for WEST Archive Cycle 2 Compared more than 2.75 million records from 83 WEST members Using WEST-specific criteria, grouped titles into journal families and into Title Categories based on risk criteria such as digital preservation PAPR performed overlap analysis, estimated deepest backfiles, and proposed Archive Holders
PAPR Collection Analysis for WEST
1. PAPR online directory and searching: by June 2012 or earlier 2. PAPR Collection analysis service (based on WEST data):
• Deselection reports (spring 2012)
• Gap and condition reports (spring 2012)
PAPR Collection Analysis will be made available to other
libraries/consortia after June 2012
