As on 12 Feb, 2017, the borne strength of the school is 2576
students.
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS
The Education World, Indian School Ranking based mostly upon the public
perception, rated and ranked the school at 83rd position amongst the
leading 17,300 CBSE schools of the country.

ACADEMICS
Round-III & IV/ Formative-III & IV
Round-III for the Primary School commenced on 20 Sep, 2016 and concluded
on 06 Dec, 2016 for Classes I – IV and on 30 Nov, 2016 for Class-V.
Formative-III for Classes VI-X began on 03 Oct, 2016 and concluded on 09
Dec, 2016. For Class XI, Round-III commenced on 03 Oct, 2016 and concluded
on 05 Dec, 2016 and for Class XII began on 03 Oct, 2016 and concluded on 11
Nov, 2016.
Round-IV for the Primary School commenced on 20 Dec, 2016 and is still going
on. For Class-V it commenced on 02 Dec, 2016 and concluded on 08 Feb, 2017.
Formative-IV for Classes VI-X began on 12 Dec, 16 and concluded on 06 Feb, 17.
For Class-XI, round-IV commenced on 12 Dec, 16 and concluded on 23 Jan, 17.
Pre Board (PB) for Cl XII
PB-I for Cls XII started on 05 Dec, 2016 and concluded on 16 Dec, 2016. PB-II
commenced on 06 Jan, 2017 and got over on 18 Jan, 2017.
PTMs for the Pre Board Examination were held on 26 Dec, 2016 and 30 Jan,
2017 respectively.
Remedial Classes for Cls VI-XII will continue till 28 Feb, 17.
AISSCE Practicals.
The CBSE Board Practical Examination for Cl XII commenced on 22 Jan, 2017
and concluded on 15 Feb, 2017.
Tutorial Classes
Are conducted regularly on Saturdays for Classes I – X for low academic
graders.
Coaching in various Sports and Games is held regularly. Regular Mass PT
and Stretch Time for Primary and Senior school students is held as per the
school routine.
PTM.
An Interactive PTM for Mont-I to Cl V was held on 03 Dec, 2016.
Attendance of the Parents was 90%. PTM for Classes VI to XII was held on
17 Dec, 16. Round-III PTM for Classes I-V was held on 21 Jan, 2017.
Monthly Assignments
Cls I – XII were given assignments for each of the months of Nov, Dec,
2016 & Jan, 2017.
CENTRE FOR SCHOLASTIC INTEGRATION1. To inculcate buying and selling skills, a mock shopping activity was organized for
Class V students enrolled with CFSI on 24 Nov, 16.
2. A counseling session on the subject ‘Positive & Good Behaviour in classrooms’
was organized for Class III students on 29 Dec, 16 by the Primary School Sp.
Educator.
3. An Interactive Session on ‘Sexual Abuse’ for the girls enrolled with CFSI
was held on 18 Jan, 17.The senior School Special Educator gave the
counselling talk.
4. In order to enhance self- expressive skills, an activity ‘I WISH’ was
organized for CFSI students of Classes I-V on 23 Jan, 17 wherein the
students wrote their wishes on clouds and decorated it.
5. The fortnightly reports showcasing areas were prepared by the Special
Educators and mailed to the parents informing about the activities done
with the children during CFSI classes as well as guidelines given for
parental care at home.
6. Students enrolled with CFSI from Classes I-V appeared for Round III & IV.
7. Interactive PTM for Classes I-V was held on 03 Dec, 16.
8. Round III PTM for Class I-V was held on 21 Jan, 17..
AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS OF CFSI STUDENTS
Rekha Satra (IX), a visually impaired child, received 1st prize at the 2nd
Inclusive International Computer Speed and Accuracy Competition, Sr.
Group held at Saksham School, Noida on 11 Nov, 16.

CBSE Inclusive Swimming Competition was held in Bhopal on 19 Nov, 16
wherein Chirag (VIII) and Saral (V) bagged silver medals in 25mt.
freestyle. They also bagged silver medal each in Relay Race.

Competition held at Kothari International School on 08 Dec, 2016.

In order to improve teaching-learning process, classes are observed on regular
basis by Principal, Vice Principal and HMs. Suggestions and feedback given by

ASTRONOMY CLUB
A session on ‘Astrophotography’ was conducted on 11 Nov, 16 wherein an
introduction to working of a DSLR Camera was taken up in which
students understood the fundamentals of Astro Photography, variable
light photography and its practical use.

SPACE ANNUAL MEETSPACE Annual Meet showcases and acknowledges Indian students who achieve
international recognition through the programs conducted by SPACE in India such as
All India Asteroid Search Campaign (AIASC) 2016 in association with International
Asteroid Search Campaign (IASC), conducted by Hardin Simmons University, USA;
United Nations declared- World Space Week 2015, Global Astronomy Month (GAM) in
association with an international organization.
SPACE Annual Meet was held on January 21, 2017 at NDMC Convention Centre,
Connaught Place, New Delhi, where SPACE felicitated the students for below mentioned

Yet another event PROJECT PARIDHI was conducted at Qutub Minar on 21 Dec, 2016
(Winter Solstice) and was attended by Shreshti Dubey (VII), Aditya Awana (VII),
Gandharv Joshi (VII), Gauri Gautam (VII) and Vibhor Dabral (VII). Project Paridhi is a
flagship project of SPACE to popularize hands on science experience. Under this project,
one takes measurements of the shadows made by the Sun to measure the
circumference of Earth as done 2300 years back by astronomer Eratosthenes.
This project showcased that Science can be learnt by doing. This activity can be
performed any day but SOLSTICE AND EQUINOX are preferred as the position of the sun
on these days is exactly known. The students carried out the activity successfully with a
good degree of accuracy of 98.4 %.
OVERNIGHT SKY OBSERVATION
An overnight observation for the students of Astronomy Club was organised on 31, Jan
2017 at a premium site-Astroport, Sariska. Astroport is India’s first Astronomy theme
based resort which has been developed to provide a great sky viewing and research
experience to the budding astronomers working with SPACE, in a serene and lush
environment of Sariska Tiger Reserve. Students made spectacular telescopic
observations of star clusters, nebulae, constellations, the Moon, the Saturn with its
beautiful rings and the Jupiter with its four moons aligned in one line. They learnt to use
the ‘planisphere’ to locate stars and other objects as well as find directions with the help
of various constellations. A hands- on telescopic session enabled them to use their own
telescopes to make observations. This session proved to be an exciting and a great
learning experience for the students.

ENVIRONMENT CLUB
Under the aegis of UNIC-NPSC, a working model on Air Pollution Mitigation based on
green practices was displayed at BBPS, Gangaram on 23 Nov, 16. The school team stood
II amongst 130 participating schools of Delhi and NCR. Ahlcon International School,
Mayur Vihar, Delhi hosted the second round wherein the students of BBPS, Noida were
declared the Runners Up. The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs.40,000
alongwith certificates at a glittering Closing Ceremony held at India Habitat Centre, New
Delhi on 21 Dec, 16.

Health &WellnessClub
World AIDS Day was observed on 01 Dec, 2016. The information was disseminated
through Display Board and screening of videos for Classes VIII & IX.
Under the aegis of CBSE, a Yoga Quiz was conducted for the students of Classes VI –
X on 16 Jan, 17. The winners at School Level in Jr and Sr Category Aviral Bansal (VII),
Siddharth Singh (VIII), Pranya Dutta (IX) and Udbhav Sinha (X) appeared for 2nd level
online quiz on 24 Jan, 2017.
A message on importance of De-Worming and observing National De Worming Day
was released from the principal’s desk on 05 Feb, 17.
World Cancer Day was observed on 04 Feb, 17 to disseminate information about
carcinogens and importance of adopting healthy eating habits and exercise in daily
life routine.

STRIDE NET G.K., I.T. and CYBER SAFETY OLYMPIADG.K., I.T. and CYBER SAFETY Olympiad conducted by Stride Networks Pvt. Ltd was held

GOOGLE INDIA CODE TO LEARN CONTEST
Online entries were invited for the “Google India
Code to Learn Contest” in the month of August
wherein the students had to submit a project in the
form of stories, games, cartoons or any other
imaginative or creative form of expression.
A total of 800 entries were received by Google
from all over India. Rishabh Singhal (X) was
declared the All India Winner in the category of
Classes IX & X. He designed a game using the

ATAL INNOVATION MISSION UNDER THE AGEIS OF NITI AAYOGThe school was shortlisted for the next and final round in the selection process for the
establishment of Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL) in school, an initiative under the Atal Innovation
Mission (AIM) by NITI Aayog, Govt. of India.
• The School participated in the ATL Innovation Challenge on 05 Nov, 16 wherein HM (Sr) and Ms
Indula Mishra, TGT (Science) and 03 students represented school and presented various solution
to the identified challenges.
• The school successfully qualified the presentation round and was selected for setting up of ATL
among 6000 applicants. The school has received grant-in-aid that includes a one time
establishment cost of Rs.10 lakhs and operational expenses of Rs. 10 lakhs for a maximum period
of 05 years. An MOU was signed between AIM and host institution thereafter.
• Further instructions on setting of the ATAL Lab are awaited from NITI Aayog.
NORTHERN INDIA SCIENCE FAIR 2017Aryan Gupta (IX) and Rhythm Gupta (IX) participated in the Northern India
Science Fair at National Science Centre, Delhi on 18 & 19 Jan, 2017 and their
model was adjudged first in the order of merit. They received a cash prize of
Rs.3250/- each and books worth Rs.7000/-.
NU INNOVATORS CHALLENGE 2016
Prakhar Jindal (XI), Shubham Joshi (XI) and Nakul Verma (X) qualified the
first round of NU Innovators Challenge 2016 and were selected for the
grand finale among the top 26 nominations of the country. The team
participated in the grand finale on 20 Jan, 2017 at NIIT University,
Neemrana.

It is an All India National Talent Search Examination for students of Classes

TECHNOVATION 2017This initiative offers girls around the world the opportunity to learn the skills they need
to emerge as tech entrepreneurs and leaders. Girls work in teams to build a mobile app
and a business plan to launch an app that will bring a change in the society, supported
by mentors and guided by the Technovation curriculum. Since 2010, more than 10,000
girls from 78 countries have participated in Technovation.
Technovation takes students through 4 stages of launching a mobile app startup,
inspired by the principles of design thinking:
Ideation - Identify a problem in the community
Technology - Develop a mobile app solution
Entrepreneurship - Build a business plan to launch the app
Pitch - Take the business to market
In this season, teams will choose Poverty, Environment, Peace or Equality as a theme
inspired by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
Our School is participating second year in a row in this outstanding event and two teams
of 04 girls each under the mentorship of Ms Meetu Tripathi, TGT (Computer Sc-TEAM
ZESTE) and Ms Asha Menon, PRT (Computer Sc-TEAM CODEC) are already working with
their mentors from Adobe to convert their ideas to a mobile application.

Workshop follow-ups under the supervision of VPL and concerned HMs follow four
practical tactics for engaging the concerned staff in driving, re-inforcing and
sustaining the developmental programs. Also, de-briefings were held in various
departments to double or triple the value of the training imparted by checking in with
the teachers on the experience during the above listed workshops.

ANNUAL DAYFrom a small step to a massive leap during 25 years of its resplendent venture, Bal Bharati
Public School, Noida celebrated its 18th Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony on 19th
Nov, 2016 in a grandiose style. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr Swapan Dasgupta,
Padmabhushan, Member Rajyasabha and a Sr Journalist. Dr Kiran Datar, Former Dean of
Colleges, Delhi University & Ex- Advisor to National Knowledge Commission was the Guest of
Honour. The event received rave reviews from all quarters.
INSPIRE-2016 (An Interschool Event for Differently Abled)
Keeping alive the vision of the school which is to help every individual realize his/her
true potentials and to develop cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills, which are
the essence of holistic growth of every child, the school organized an interschool
event for children with special needs on 30 Nov, 16. 09 schools from Delhi & NCR
participated enthusiastically.
TECHFEST 2016Under the aegis of Computer Club of the Primary Wing, a week long
celebration of Technology and Innovation, Techfest 2016 was organized. The

all the staff members and the Student Council members on 26 Jan, 2017.
FAREWELL PARTY

BBPS INTRA MUNBal Bharati Public School, Noida organised the very first edition of BBPSN Intra MUN 2017
on 31 Jan and 01 Feb, 2017 with full fervor. The esteemed Executive Board Members
Siddharth Kapoor, a veteran MUNer, Anusheela Ghosh, Parinay Gupta and Rachit
Aggarwal, part of well-established MUN circuit of India graced the occasion.
An overwhelming support and participation was seen as about 100 delegates from
Classes VII-XI registered themselves to the two committees - General Assembly (GA)
and Human Rights Council (HRC) with topics like Sustainable Development Goals and
LGBT Rights. At the end, even if not the awards, all the delegates took with them
treasured memories and the belief that they can be the change required to make this
world a better place. This MUN was the first in its kind and is a beacon of hope for the
MUN community of the school for the several MUNs to come.

PTA MEETING
The PTA Body of the school interacts on a regular basis and their
suggestions are received by the school from time to time. Through PTA
Funds, genuine and needy parents are given assistance to pay the pending
school dues. The PTA Body Sponsored some of the prestigious awards
during the Annual Day of the School.
The two year term of the existing PTA Body will come to an end on 10 May,
2017 and the newly elected members as per the PTA guidelines, under the U
P Education Act will take charge w.e.f. 10 Jul, 2017. To this effect, a circular
will be issued to all the parents in the last week of April, 2017.
Weekly Faculty Meetings with Class Representatives, House Wardens, Head of the
Departments and Staff Meetings (on monthly basis) are being held on a regular
basis. The records of all the meetings are minuted in the proper Minutes Register as
well as released on the teacher portal for reading purposes.
MEETING WITH STAFF
I would like to put on record my deep sense of appreciation for the staff who works
selflessly and ensure that the school graph is on the rise. The constant guidance
from the members of the Managing Committee plays a major role.
