Principal’s Message

It is great to be back at our wonderful school

A warm welcome to all our students, staff, parents and community partners for what will be another

fantastic year for our school.

Special regards go to our Year 7 students and parents who have joined us this year. While anxiety is usually

high for parents with children starting high school, it hasn’t been the case for the kids. It is great to see

students settling in nicely and forming positive relationships with their peers. Parents are able to receive

more feedback about their son's progress during "Meet the Teacher Afternoon" on Tuesday 7 March 2017.

The afternoon is open to Yr7 and Yr12 students and their parents as part of our commitment to track

progress and ensure the best possible outcomes for our most junior and senior years.

Promoting excellence and success

It has been a busy start to the year as we celebrated our achievements of 2016 earlier on this year at

Presentation Day. It was great to see staff, students, parents and community partners share our student

academic, sporting and leadership success.

Working closely with Primary Schools

Last week, primary principals and teachers

participated in a communications project at

Belmore Boys High School. The project aims at

supporting student transition from Year 6 to 7 and

allows for the promotion of our school amongst

primary colleagues and their parents. It was a

fantastic opportunity for our school to hear from

primary colleagues as well as primary school

parents about what they look for in a high school

and how Belmore Boys can support student transition as they shift from being the most senior year in

primary school to the most junior year in high school.
