Dear parents,

We hope that you are pleased with the centre events planned out and are updated

about your child’s progress throughout the terms.

We will be sharing more of your child’s busy yet magical learning journey in term 3

as they participated in the various events and fieldtrips.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents for all the appreciation

you had shown to us during Teachers’ Day. Have a pleasant read!

Little Sunshine Based on Term 3 theme on Transportation, the infants had an

enjoyable time with the activity called The Puffer Train and Choo Choo Honk Honk as they enhanced their social-emotional

development milestones.

Puffer Train Pretend Play

Infants were exposed to the sounds of the train as they were

engaged in social play. They were placed in a row and pretended to

be on a puffer train.

Wheels on the Bus

Infants had great bonding time with their

peers during the dramatic play. The

teacher made a cardboard bus and

infants pretended to ride on the bus as they sang

the song - Wheels on the Bus.

Tiny Tots

Fly High

In a sociodramatic play, our toddlers were having fun pretending to be an aeroplane. This activity harnessed their physical and creative

expression development. Fly up and around we go!!!

Under the Sea

During Term 3 Start Small, Dream Big (SSDB) learning journey, toddlers learnt about

creatures under the sea. They expressed their understanding as they created their

own sea using cut-out seaweed, as a follow up to a storytelling on ‘Under the Sea’.

N1 So Fine Early Numeracy

As a reinforcement to the mathematical

concept on shapes, the N1s used their

creativity to use loose blocks to form square, triangle and rectangle.

Lil Ms & Mr Sunshine

The N1s made their own Flower Sun Catcher using materials such as paper plate, different coloured paints and their own dried flowers

to create their masterpieces.

Outdoor Play

The N1s had fun with the parachute as they showed perseverance while playing the game of balancing the spider on the

parachute.

3 Little Pigs

In line with the theme on My Home, N2s dramatized the story ‘3 Little Pigs’ and

pretended that they were houses standing straight and tall.

As a team, they worked together to find ways on how to be standing tall and firm

just like the houses as they tried not to be blown by the big bad wolf. Well done N2!

Discovery of the World

One of the experiments that the N2 did was to observe which materials had faster water transfer; tissue paper or drawing paper. This activity enhances

their problem solving skills and communication skills. Good Job N2!

K1 Learning Fun

K1的小朋友正在用画笔绘画自己喜欢的

房屋，通过折叠、粘贴，小朋友们都能够认识了新加坡的各种房屋。看小朋友们正在展示自己的作品呢！

There’s no I in TEAM

K1s learnt about teamwork by helping each other to accomplish one task. They really

enjoyed this outdoor game. They were able to complete the tasks as the level of difficulty

increases and worked as a team.

Based on the theme, House, the children

discussed about the different types of houses in Singapore and one of these is the kampung

house. They found out that the last kampung or village in Singapore is near to their school!

Some of them commented, “Oh, when you cross

the road from our school, you can see that kampung”, “We always see these kampung houses when we go to school”. Thus, they made their own

kampung houses out of ice cream sticks.

K2 Explorers

To enhance their numeracy skills, K2 learnt

about Singapore’s money. The children differentiated the notes and coins and were taught on the values. The lesson

ended with a pretend-play activity where children used their play money to buy items. They were able to practise their money management skills through this

activity. Good job K2s!

In one of their art activities, the K2 children created their own painting of a basketball.

The element of art colours was emphasized through the use of only primary colors.

They were able to express their imagination on how they visualized the basketball and what they knew about the sport, through

this art activity.

Sempena dengan tema pekerjaan, murid-murid Nurseri 1 diberi peluang untuk

melakukan pekerjaan impian mereka dengan memakai topi pekerjaan yang dibuat sendiri.

Sempena tema pekerjaan, murid-murid toddler telah

diperkenalkan kepada perkerjaan-perkerjaan seperti doktor, ahli bomba dan polis.

Murid-murid Tadika 1 dan Tadika 2 diberi peluang untuk belajar bermain permainan congkak bersempena dengan pembelajaran budaya. Mereka sangat teruja untuk mencuba bermain congkak. Pengalaman ini telah memberi mereka pendedahan tentang permainan tradisional.

Murid-murid Nurseri 2 mempelajari tentang bentuk bulat. Mereka kemudian diarah untuk mencari bentuk bulat di persekitaran mereka. Kemudian, mereka melukis bentuk bulat itu.

Our children from N2 to K2 were exposed to the flora and fauna around

them. Our children had their thinking caps on as they observed the

different types of leaves and the colourful flowers. Well done children!

flowers with the help of their family.

Learning Journey to Gardens By The Bay

In line with our Nature Magnified Programme,

our children visited Gardens by the Bay and explored various types of

flowers at the Flower and Cloud Dome.

Children compared the shapes, sizes, colours and even the scents!

Racial Harmony Celebration As our N1 to K2 celebrated their Racial Harmony Day outdoors, our little ones from Infant Care and Toddler had their hands full on an

Art and Craft activity in class. During the Cultural Exposure, children were seen to be focused and concentrated on finishing their tasks.

Learning Journey to Taste & Flavours of Home

On Racial Harmony Day, our N1 to K2 children were introduced to the

different spices and herbs that can be found in Singapore.

They learnt how to make their own kaya from scratch! They took turns on making the homemade kaya in

the rice cooker and used only natural ingredients, without any food

colouring.

They also had their hands busy on making handmade ‘Kaya Pandan

Puff’.

National Day Celebration

Our National Day celebration was held at the multi-purpose hall, where

children had lots of fun. The children and teachers

started the celebration with the Singapore workout

‘ActiveSG’ .

Next was a cookery session; making our ‘Yogurt Fruits Sandwich Cracker’. Don’t

forget to wash your hands everyone!

Mooncake Lantern Festival Celebration On 1 September, our K1 and K2 children were invited by

Jalan Kayu RC to perform a dance, in celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival at Buangkok Square Park. The children’s hard work paid off as they successfully performed a Fan

Dance as an entertainment in line with the festivals in front of the large crowd. Great Job Kinders!

Besides the Mooncake Lantern Festival celebration at Buangkok Square, we also had an indoor celebration at our centre. Children did a good job in making a giant mooncake

as well as DIY lantern. Job well done, KMBR children!
