September/October 2019 Hello Peasley Families: Welcome back for the 2019-20 school year! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing summer. Peasley continues to show great success and is fully accredited again this year. This years accreditation was based on attendance and student growth as well. We appreciate our familiessupport as we have implemented our updated division attendance policy. When our students are at school, their understanding of the content improves, and we miss them when they are not here. With your support and involvement, I know that we can meet this important challenge! This summer our teachers worked on updating our PBIS matrix, which can be found on the back page of this newsletter. All students will earn point for their efforts in following our expectations using a new application, PBIS Rewards, which they can use to purchase items at our school store. We have also developed a new school mission statement (page 2), which is more student and family friendly and aligns with our desire to create an environment in which all students can attain success. Finally, the team identified characteristics of a Peasley citizen (page 2). We will be teaching all of our students about these traits at the beginning of each month. At the end of the month, teachers will recognize a student in their classes who exemplifies the monthly trait. Finally, all Peasley students will be using Chromebooks this school year. Parent information sessions were held at our Open Houses. If you were not able to attend the information session at open house, you may attend one at our Back to School nights on September 24 (7th & 8th grades) and 25 (6th grade). Please feel free to reach out by phone or email if you have any questions or ideas to share with me for our students and the upcoming 2019-20 school year. I look forward to working with you this school year! Sincerely, Katie Litton Principal, Peasley Middle School Parents, Peasley wants you to be informed. Hello Peasley Families:

Welcome back for the 2019-20 school year! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing summer.

Peasley continues to show great success and is fully accredited again this year. This year’s accreditation was based on attendance and student growth as well. We appreciate our families’ support as we have implemented our updated division attendance policy.

If you were not able to attend the information session at open house, you may

attend one at our Back to School nights on September 24 (7th & 8th grades) and 25 (6th grade).

Please feel free to reach out by phone or email if you have any questions or ideas to share with me for our students and the upcoming 2019-20 school year.

I look forward to working with you this school year!

Sincerely,

Katie Litton
