Hello Year 5, We are missing seeing you all at school but hope that you have been enjoying spending time at home. We have really enjoyed seeing what you have all been up to as part of your home learning! Please continue to show your learning on our Year 5 group on SMB Noticeboard Facebook or email school on [email protected] (Mrs Francis) have been very busy with my school work and I have been trying to organise lots of Science and activities for the whole school for when we come back. I have had my first online meeting as well! This week, I have been teaching Elizabeth how to sew for a Rainbow badge – do you know how to sew? It’s a good life skill like all your cooking you have been doing! I have been reading lots of books including re-reading my Harry Potter series – it’s always good to reread your favourite books.
I (Mrs Scott) have been keeping very busy with my family this week. I have been getting back into reading with my children, Owen has been enjoying reading books about dragons and dinosaurs! We have also been taking part in some online music classes, having a dance around and singing. Building with lego has also been a great activity for us, coming up with lots of different constructions. We have also been out in the garden enjoying the great weather we have been having, playing football and tennis!
We will be starting a new book with you on Monday and we will be taking it in turns to read a chapter of the book to you and posting this up so you can follow along at home. We will be reading Warhorse by Michael Morpurgo. Take care, Mrs Scott and Mrs Francis
