Kavala is one of the regional units of Greece. It’s part of the East Macedonia and Thrace. It’s capital is the city of Kavala. Kavala regional unit is the easternmost within the geographical region of Macedonia.

PHILIPPI villagePhilippi is a village situated between the prefectures of Kavala and Drama in Northern Greece. It is built on the foot of a mountain and it offers endless view of the surrounding plainland. There are 1100 inhabitants most of whom are farmers.

Philippi is surrounded by beatiful nature, it is close to archaeological site of ancient Philippi. It is a 10 minute drive from the city of Kavala which boasts some of the most beatiful beaches in Greece and a well preserved byzantine castle.

The muthbaths of Krinides is another important natural landmark in the area. The healing power of this type of mud is considered unique worlwide. The mud pools are situated just off the village of Krinides 5-minute drive from the village of Philippi.
