I found from this question that the majority of people who answered my survey and who had greater knowledge of the EDM background were from ages 10-20. This is therefore important as it depicts that people from ages of 10-20 would be more likely to buy an EDM Music magazine, than people who are aged 40 for instance. Therefore, I will make my magazine mostly appealing for people from ages 10-30, as people from this age will be more likely to get my magazine.

This pie chart conveys that the majority of people who answered my questionnaire were between 10-20 years old and for the other two sections, an equal amount of people were 21-30 or over 30.

Page 4: Primary research

This question is important as it conveys to me that people are mostly attracted to a magazine, due to the main image that is used on its cover. Therefore, to make this work for my magazine, I will use an image of an artist that is known well by everyone who enjoys electronic music. For instance, I may use an image of David Guetta, Tiesto or Martin Garrix.

This question is extremely important as it conveys to me that the most popular color schemes that people will want to see on my magazine is either Black and red, or blue and orange. The other options such as green and yellow and dark colors were not as popular. Therefore, these responses have made it clear what colours I am going to use in my magazine, to make it engaging for people to read.

This question and its responses are important because it conveys to me that both males and females enjoy electronic music… not just males, like what I originally assumed. Therefore, in order to make sure my magazine is bought by as many people as possible, I will have to make my magazine appealing for both men and women

This question and its responses are very important because it connotes that Avicii is the most popular artist amongst the people who answered my questionnaire. Therefore, in order to make my magazine more engaging and to have Star Appeal, I will have to include pictures and the logo of Avicii in my magazine. This will ensure that more people buy it.

This question and its answers are very important because it depicts that the majority of people who read magazines prefer reading about new songs and new albums, rather than reading gossip, news about stars or interviews with stars. This is very important because I will therefore have to include news about new songs within my magazine to make it more enjoyable for my reader.

This question and its responses are both very important as it depicted to me that the people who listen to EDM can be from any socio-economic class. This is important because it means I wont have to make my magazine appealing for one particular socio-economic class. I will be able to make the magazine more general, as more classes read EDM magazines, than I originally thought.

This question and its answer is very important because it communicates to me that the majority of people who read music magazines prefer to have giveaways available to them, rather than vouchers or samples.
