How do these tests work?

With P-MAP & MAP, the test questions are displayed on the computer screen.

Primary MAP includes audio so that test items are read aloud to students.

Students will select an answer using the mouse or the keyboard.

The difficulty of the test will adjust to your child’s performance. As your child responds to the questions, the test will adjust according to his or her performance.

Why is your child taking the P-MAP or MAP test?

We want to find out exactly where your child is performing.

This will help your child’s teacher in planning learning activities to best meet his or her needs.
