Knowledge – recall specific mathematical
facts, concepts, rules and formulae, and to
perform straightforward computations.
Comprehension – interpret data and usemathematical concepts, rules or formulae to solve routine or familiar mathematical problems.
Application – analyse data and/ or applymathematical concepts, rules or formulae in a complex situation, and to solve unfamiliar problems.

The examination format :
Paper 1 (50 min)

Format of Paper
• The two papers will be taken on the same day
with a recess break between the papers.
• The demand and difficulty level of the papers
will be kept comparable with previous years’.

Type of Calculator
• Only calculators that are approved by the
Singapore Examinations & Assessment Board
(SEAB) will be allowed in the examination.
• The list of approved calculators is available on
SEAB’s website: http://www.seab.gov.sg
• To maintain continuity from primary to secondary
education, these calculators can also be used at
the secondary level.
