PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY AT SCHOOLEVENTS/ PUBLICATION OF STUDENTS’ WORKWe would like to inform you that photographs/videos ofstudents/parents taken at all school events by the officialschool photographers may be published on the school’sofficial media platforms (e.g. newsletters, school websiteor similar platforms) and used for briefings, workshopsand other educational purposes. The school may publishphotographs, videos and students’ work/achievementstogether with the names of the students from time totime. Financial Assistance

MOE believes in building an inclusive

education system and providing equal

opportunities for all to access quality

educational experience. MOE and the school

thus provides financial assistance under the

various schemes and funds to help financially

needy Singaporean students meet basic

schooling expenses and access to other

resources and programmes to support their

holistic development.

1)Ministry of Education Financial Assistance Scheme

(MOE FAS)

Eligible Income Criteria: ≤ $2,500 Gross Monthly

Household Income or ≤ $625 Per Capital Income

2) School Meals Programme

Students on the MOE FAS will receive subsidies of $2 per

meal for seven meals per school week. Application for

meal subsidies is not required.

3) IDA’a NEU PC Plus

Students from low-income households can apply for IDA’s

NEU PC Plus Programme to own a new computer at a

subsidised price. For more information, please refer to

https://www.imda.gov.sg/neupc.

4) School-based Financial Assistance Scheme

(SAC FAS)

Eligible Income Criteria: ≤ $3,000 Gross Monthly

Household Income or ≤ $750 Per Capital Income.

5) MOE Opportunity Fund (MOE OF)

Singaporean students who are eligible for and have

successfully applied for MOE FAS or School-based

FAS would also receive subsidy from MOE OF in their

access to ICT, Overseas Learning Trips, Enrichment

Programmes and Good Books Reading Pack.

• Forms for MOE FAS can be obtained from the MOE website https://www.moe.gov.sg/education/financial-assistance/moe-financial-assistance-scheme-(fas) or from the General Office.

• Forms for School-based FAS can also beobtained from the General Office.

Mother Tongue Language (MTL)

• To promote bilingualism, the MTL policy requires allstudents who are Singaporeans or Singapore PRs to studytheir respective official MTL - Chinese, Malay and Tamil*.

• The MTL provides opportunities for students to beacquainted with their heritage, strengthens their valuesand sense of cultural belonging, instilling in them a senseof rootedness.

*A non-Tamil Indian student may choose to take (a) Tamil or (b) aNon-Tamil Indian Language (NTIL) such as Hindi and Punjabi. NTILlessons are conducted by the NTIL community groups on Satmornings at designated schools. A list of these schools can be foundon the BTTSAL’s website at http://bttsal.com/index.php/centres. Allstudents taking NTIL should attend the weekend lessons at thesecentres in the designated schools.

• Parents will need to apply if they wouldlike their child to study a different MTL.

• To apply, approach the school generaloffice for an application form.

Student Care Centre (SCC)

• Registration forms are available at theSCC Counter (Level 1, ISH Indoor SportsHall) and the General Office.

• Submit your registration forms by Friday,10 Nov 2017 to be given priority inplacement.

• There will be a briefing for parents whosechildren are enrolled in the SCC on Sat,25 Nov 2017, 9.30 am to 12 pm.
