Prim Buddies It is not for our family, it is not to secure a good position, it is not to earn money, it is not to obtain a diploma, that
we study. We study to learn, to know, to understand the world, and for the sake of the joy that it gives us.

October 2012 [Vol 1 Issue 4]
Welcome to yet another issue of Prim Buddies! October was adventurous with the cyclone Nilam hammering Chennai. We were closed for few days, letting the kids appreciate the forces of Nature. How infinitely powerful the winds can be.. teaching us the simple, poetic wind that wipes away our heartaches can be mighty and mammoth as well. We learnt something from Nilam too. We learnt how small and insignificant we become in front of the expansive creations of the Divine. We learnt how significant we can still be, living and contributing every moment to the fullest. A truly humbling experience.
We celebrated Dr. Abdul Kalam’s birthday. The genius and the inspirer was honoured to our level best. Our first attempt at dedicating a day to the senior members of the Primrose family, our Grand Parents, was a big success. Heartfelt thanks to all the grand parents for so unreservedly joining in. All for the happiness of their proud grandchildren. The little ones in the KG sections became Community Helpers for day. Thanks to our lovely kids and their ever supporting parents.

If I had the wings…
If I have wings. I will enjoy like a Bird.
I will come to school and return to
home with the help of my wings. I will
go to forest and collect different types
of fruits. I will visit to my native
frequently and meet my grandfather
and mother. I will go around the world
and see different countries, people,
hills, rivers, valley’s etc.

If I have wings I will fly high. If I
have wings I will go to all places
quickly. If I have wings I will
enjoy the journey because I
don’t like car due to vomiting. If
I have wings I will reach mount
Everest and fly our national flag
saying loudly “Vanda Matharam”.

If I have Wings. If I have wings. I could
fly. I could fly up to touch the sky. I
would feel like a bird and fly around.
The world without any visas or
passport. I would visit all the beautiful
creations of God like mountains,
deserts, north poles etc. If I have
wings I could take patients to hospitals
without bring stuck in traffic jam. But
the truth is I don’t have wings. God
has gifted me many other good things
using which I can still help others.
Natania Meryn, Std II
If I have wings. I will go high up
in the sky, over the hills, over
the trees, over the mountains &
over the oceans. I will fly along
with birds without any worries &
fear. I will visit every corner of
the world to hear voices and
laughter. If I have wings, I will
bring you by my side every
sunrise and every sunset. If I
have wings. I will enjoy my life
most.

King Krishnadeva Raya was the
ruler of Vijayanagar kingdom in
South India. Tenali Raman served
in the king’s court. All courtiers
were jealous of Tenali and told
the king that he can change iron
into gold and that he doesn’t
share the secret with anybody.
The king asked Tenali whether it
was true. Tenali asked for time to
prove himself. He brought a dog
to the court with a tail tied to a
pipe. The king and all others
laughed at his foolishness. The
king told Tenali that the dog’s tail
cannot be straightened. Tenali
tells to the king, “Same way, one
can never make gold from iron.
King understood that his
courtiers were jealous of Tenali.
He scolded them and rewarded
