development of modern Ukrainian

Shevchenko is the favourite author of

millions of Ukrainians, a real

people’s poet.His works are

translated into many languages.

His role in the history

of Ukrainian literature is greater than

that of Pushkin in

Russia, Mickiewicz -

in Polish literature

 March 9, 2014 the Ukrainian people celebrate 200 years since the birth

of Taras Shevchenko . We must always remember the genius of Ukrainian people. Our school is

preparing for the line to commemorate the 200th

anniversary of Taras Shevchenko's birthday . The project will help

pupils to explore the life and work of the great poet and define the

role of the artist in the development of Ukrainian language

and literature.
