Structure of studies in Poland Poland conforms to the guidelines from the Bologna Process in European higher education. The degree system based on the three-cycle structure has been successfully implemented toge-ther with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).

Funds from the State budget for tasks related to students enrolled

on full-time programmes, fulltime doctoral students and research staff, as well as the maintenance and development of HEIs. These funds are allocated from the part of the State budget managed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education. Public HEIs pursue their own financial policy based on activity-and-finance plans.

EU funds - spent both on the development of academic infrastructure,

and on research projects. The implementation of these schemes is primarily carried out by two agencies of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education: the National Science Centre and the National Centre for Research and Development.

PPP Platform A cooperation platform for public private partnership (PPP Platform) established on the initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development is a response to expectations from the public entities and the market. The Platform acts as a forum for exchanging information, experience and best practices between local self-governments through implementation of specific projects.
