Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes or PPROM
Objectives for PPROM
In this course the participant will:• Recognize the risk factors for PPROM.
• The signs and symptoms of PPROM will be recognizable after this module.
• Better understand the physical exam of a woman suspected to have PPROM.
• Have a better understanding of the serious infections that can occur with PPROM patients.
• Understand possible complications for a woman and her developing fetus when she is faced with PPROM.
• Be able to explain the controversy with treatment tracks and understand the nuances to the treatment options.
• Gain knowledge on the medication regimens for PPROM based on the gestational age of the fetus.

Umbilical Cord Prolapse
Objectives for Umbilical Cord Prolapse
This course will:• Help the participant develop sound clinical judgment in the delivery of health care when
an umbilical cord prolapse occurs.
• Expand participant's knowledge base on learning theories and their instructional implications regarding health care delivery when an umbilical cord prolapse occurs.
• Enable participant to develop, implement, and evaluate health care delivery in a practice setting prior to an actual event. This will allow for early recognition of an actual event.
• Enhance participant's ability to put knowledge into active health care delivery. This will allow for rapid implementation of the necessary steps needed when an umbilical cord prolapse occurs.
• Prepare the participant to address issues and implement changes in the health care environment as necessary to ensure a safety.• Equipment and supplies needed when an umbilical cord prolapse occurs will be available in the
setting of the pregnant woman.

Postpartum Hemorrhage
Objectives for Postpartum Hemorrhage
The purpose of this module is to improve participant's understanding of postpartum hemorrhage:
• Help participants develop sound critical judgment in the delivery of health care when postpartum hemorrhage occurs.
• Expand the participant's knowledge base on learning theories and their instructional implications regarding health care delivery when postpartum hemorrhage occurs.
• Enable participants to develop, implement, and evaluate health care delivery in a practice setting prior to an actual event. This will allow for early recognition of an actual event.

• Prepare participants to address issues and implement changes in the health care setting as necessary to ensure a safe environment.
• Equipment and supplies needed when postpartum hemorrhage occurs will be readily available.
• Enable participants to convert proven learning into actual health care delivery.
