Wherever possible, reclaimed materials from the original building were used in the re-build and renovation of Thremhall House, which is situated intwelve acres of parkland – a haven for wildlife, including deer.
Inside, we have a recycling programme in place for all paper, cardboard, cans, ink cartridges, and mobile phones.
The paper and cardboard are collected by a local recycling fi rm (Prince Recycling, Great Dunmow). This helps to keep the road miles down too.
Used ink cartridges and unwanted mobile phones are collected by Computer Aid, the world’s largest supplier of computers to developing countries. They also wipe, rebuild and recycle used PCs, donating them to African and South American countries.
Our heating system operates on a timer, ensuring that we only heat the offi ces when required - not 24 hours a day! The same applies to our lighting - all offi ce lighting is on a PIR (passive infrared) sensor system - so they are only on when someone is in the offi ce. We use low-wattage fl uorescent tubes in all of our offi ces, which are in turn recycled at the end of their life.
From the very beginning, being green was built into Thremhall Park. Environmentally friendly features have been incorporated into each offi ce; from super-thick insulation to the highest specifi cation double-glazing. See below to fi nd out more about how we keep Thremhall Park green.

Thremhall Park Business Centre is built on the ancient monument site of Thremhall Priory, and is a combination of restoration and new-build. The buildings are set within 12 acres of historical parkland, bounded to the north by the A120, and to the south by the B1256 (Dunmow Road).
Thremhall Park is located on the southern boundary of Stansted Airport, just half a mile east of Junction 8 of the M11. The thriving market town of Bishop’s Stortford lies on the opposite side of the motorway and offers a range of local amenities including a well established Chamber of Commerce with all major banks represented, and a wide variety of professional support services.
