I. Introduction

Finding the best menu for your online shop can be a tougher job than you think. But

II. Installation

1. Upload module to the server

Go to “Modules and services”

Click “Add a new module”

Choose module main file (ybc_megamenu.zip)

Click “Upload this module” to upload the module

2. Install the Rich mega menu

Just click “Install” to enable the module and you are all done!

3. Check the module

After step 1 and 2 are done, you have completed the installation of the module. If you go

to the frontend of the website, you will be able to see that your default Prestashop top

menu has been replaced by the Rich mega menu with sample data initiated.

III. Manage your top menu

To manage your top menu, you need to go to the Prestashop Rich Mega Menu module

configuration area

Top menu is managed by 3 main objects: Menu item (level 1), column item (level 2) and

block item (level 3)

1. Add new menu item

Click on “Add new menu” to add a new menu item

Fill all required and optional fields and then click “Save” to set up your menu

Explanation of the fields

- Menu title: Title of the menu item

- Menu link type: Type of link triggered when clicked on menu item. If you

don’t want to have a link for the menu item you are creating, just choose

“Custom link” and leave blank on “Link”

- Submenu type: Type of sub-menu dropdown. There are 3 options: Full width,

Left and Right

- Submenu max-width: maximum width of sub-menu by percentage.

- Custom class: Css custom class

- Awesome icon: fa-home, fa-phone…

- Show icon: show or hide awesome icon

- Sub-menu title text color, Sub-menu block body text color, Sub-menu link

hover color, Sub-menu price color, Sub-menu border color, Sub-menu

background class: color options for sub-menu. (leave blank if you want to use

default color)

- Sub-menu type, use sub-menu wrapper border: border options of sub-menu

- Sub-menu banner, Sub-menu banner link, Sub-menu banner position: option

to add a banner to the footer of sub-menu

2. Add new column

Click the “Add new column to this menu” button of the menu item to which you

want to add a column to.

Fill all required and optional fields and then click “Save” to create a new column

* Tip: hide column title if it’s not necessary because you already have block title for

each block. Total size of all the columns of the same menus should always be 12 to

avoid blank area in the sub-menu

3. Add new block

Click the “Add new block to this column” button of the column that you want to

add a block to.

Fill all required and optional fields and then click “Save” to create a new block

for the column

4. Configuration

All configuration options are available in the first page of the Prestashop Rich

Mega Menu module backend :

*Tip:

- Choose a layout and skin that is suitable for your website. If you can’t find a

suitable pre-defined color for your website, you can select “Custom color” and

choose a color from the color picker tool.

- Enable “Use cache” only when your menu is very complex. Disable this

option when you move your site to a new server or when you update your

website data and enable it again later. But you will not see the changes happen

on top menu.
