Atlantic recording group Why Don’t We have premiered their brand new track “Talk,” available now at all DSPs and streaming services. Arriving last Friday, the song shot to #1 on iTunes’ Overall Songs chart, ahead of artists such as Maroon 5, Cardi B and Drake among others. Meanwhile, the song’s companion video – shot during the group’s sold out European tour, taking fans behind the scenes with these rising superstars – is streaming now on Why Don’t We’s massively popular YouTube channel, already boasting 1.2 million views – watch here.

The arrival of “Talk” follows the band’s widely sold out North American and European legs of their headline “Invitation Tour” and release of “Hooked” – which was praised as an “undeniable earworm” by TIME and boats over 8 million views on YouTube alone. The group also recently received two nominations at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards, including Choice Music Group and Choice Song: Group (“Trust Fund Baby”). Why Don’t We will return to NBC’s TODAY on September 3 for a special Labor Day performance, outside in Rockefeller Plaza as part of this summer’s “Citi Concert Series on TODAY.”

Amassing more than 200 million global audio streams, 2.9 million Instagram followers, and total You Tube views exceeding 200 million with over 1.8 million subscribers in just over a year, Why Don’t We has become one of pop music’s biggest breakout stories. Taking an innovative and unconventional approach towards releasing new music and actively engaging their rapidly growing fanbase, the prolific young group – the quintet ranges in age from 17-20 years old – put out four EPs in under 12 months. Following their debut EP “ONLY THE BEGINNING” and follow-up “SOMETHING DIFFERENT” EP, it was last summer’s “WHY DON’T WE JUST” EP that first exploded, hitting #1 on iTunes’ “Pop Albums” chart, overtaking artists like Bruno Mars, Harry Styles, and Ed Sheeran. After selling out their first-ever headlining summer tour, the band put out their “INVITATION” EP – released in September to commemorate the band’s one year anniversary – which proved an even greater success, topping iTunes’ “Overall Albums” chart in six countries including the United States. The band’s single “These Girls” made a top 10 debut on the iTunes Store’s “Top Pop Songs” chart late last summer, with the companion video now boasting over 49 million views at YouTube alone. The group closed 2017 on a high note, performing on the entire iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, including the NYC stop at Madison Square Garden where they shared the stage with Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Camilla Cabello and more. Why Don’t We kicked off the new year with the release of “Trust Fund Baby . ” Written by global superstar and Atlantic labelmate Ed Sheeran, the track shot to #3 on iTunes’ Overall Songs chart and #2 on the Pop Songs chart.
