The 27. Venice International Film Critics’ Week will be held in Venice from August 29 to September 8, 2012. Its line-up consists of seven first time director’s full-length films from all over the world, plus two special events. The films presented in the Venice International Film Critics’ Week are eligible for the “Lion of the Future – ‘Luigi De Laurentiis’ Award for a Debut Film” consisting of 100,000 USD. The 27. Venice International Film Critics’ Week will be held in Venice from August 29 to September 8, 2012. Its line-up consists of seven first time director’s full-length films from all over the world, plus two special events.

The films presented in the Venice International Film Critics’ Week are eligible for the “Lion of the Future – ‘Luigi De Laurentiis’ Award for a Debut Film” consisting of 100,000 USD. The award is offered by Aurelio and Luigi De Laurentiis’ Filmauro and it will be equally divided between the director and the producer. The prize is awarded to the best first time director’s full-length film presented at the festival (both in the Official Selection and the independent sections).

The seven first time director’s full-length films presented in competition at the Venice International Film Critics’ Week are also eligible for the “RaroVideo Audience Award – 27. Venice International Film Critics’ Week” consisting of 5,000 Euro.
