PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
With donations at the September meeting from Florence Lambert and Bob Wel-
born, we surpassed the amount fronted by the club for the scooter and power lift
for Stryder. The membership also voted unanimously to hold a fund raiser in
conjunction with Sons of Beer in Prineville. We have donations of kegs from
Ochoco Brewery as well as a keg from Pablo Pena of Madelines in Redmond the
club will also donate 1 keg. Any of the donated beer not sold the night of the
fund raiser will continued to be sold, and the Crook County Rodders will be
credited with the sales, which will be presented to the Doescher family.
Lynn Arnett has arranged with Hometown Animal Clinic to provide services to
Strider’s Service Dog Keebler free or at reduced rates. Judy Grell has sent a let-
ter to the Ellen Degeneres show, and we are awaiting word from them.
We will be looking for high end raffle items for the fund raiser to be held Satur-
day Oct. 1. Also we will need a few of the member’s cars to be parked at Sons of
Beer for a mini car show. Hopefully we can get the local newspaper present for
the presentation of the scooter and lift at the fund raiser.
The weather is changing, but we may be able to get in a couple of more Wednes-
day night cruises. We have been invited to the Alfalfa store, which now has a
sandwich shop on site, and will offer a small discount if we have enough cars
show up.
