We promote automotive safety through awareness, communication and cooperation among car enthusiast. We project a positive image of car enthusiast to the general public. We support non-profit organizations with fund raising activities and provide help to our community. OUR MEETINGS ARE HELD THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT THE CROOK COUNTY FIRE DEPART- MENT PRINEVILLE AT 7PM September 2016 PRESIDENTS MESSAGE With donations at the September meeting from Florence Lambert and Bob Wel- born, we surpassed the amount fronted by the club for the scooter and power lift for Stryder. The membership also voted unanimously to hold a fund raiser in conjunction with Sons of Beer in Prineville. We have donations of kegs from Ochoco Brewery as well as a keg from Pablo Pena of Madelines in Redmond the club will also donate 1 keg. Any of the donated beer not sold the night of the fund raiser will continued to be sold, and the Crook County Rodders will be credited with the sales, which will be presented to the Doescher family. Lynn Arnett has arranged with Hometown Animal Clinic to provide services to Strider’s Service Dog Keebler free or at reduced rates. Judy Grell has sent a let- ter to the Ellen Degeneres show, and we are awaiting word from them. We will be looking for high end raffle items for the fund raiser to be held Satur- day Oct. 1. Also we will need a few of the member’s cars to be parked at Sons of Beer for a mini car show. Hopefully we can get the local newspaper present for the presentation of the scooter and lift at the fund raiser. The weather is changing, but we may be able to get in a couple of more Wednes- day night cruises. We have been invited to the Alfalfa store, which now has a sandwich shop on site, and will offer a small discount if we have enough cars show up. Tom

Meeting Minutes Sept. 7 2016

Crook County Fire Station

President, Tom Tomlinson, called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Minutes were approved as printed

in the newsletter. Treasurer, Judy Grell, gave the financial report for both general and show accounts.

Three fines were levied by Robert Allen.

New Members and Guests: Sean and Kathleen Barter (not present)

Announcements: Hal Davenport is home from the hospital after bypass surgery. Ladies Lunch

will be at Dillons Sept. 20th at 11:30. Club Picnic will be Sept 11 at Overlook Park in Culver. Shows

for September- 17th Crooked River Ranch 9am and Powell Butte Church 24th at 8am.

Reports: Sean Barter, Tom Tomlinson & Norm Werner have been working on modifications for the

lift, and wiring of the family van to accommodate the lift, that the Club will be donating to Stryder

Doescher.

Lynn’s Quiz: only four question were correctly answered.

Old Business: Stryder Doescher Fundraiser will be Oct. 1st at Sons of Beer. Event will include a

raffle, live band and BBQ. Money raised will be used to pay for scooter and lift that the Club has pur-

chased for Stryder.

New Business: Fall Road Clean up Saturday Oct. 8th meet at 9am at Rite Aid. Brunch to follow at

Apple Peddlar. Adam and Katie Kraus ([email protected]) invited everyone to their House

Warming, on Sunday Sept. 18th from 2:00 – 8Pm. Bring something to eat or drink as this will be a

potluck style party. Florence announced that former member Tina Hollen’s dad passed away-

memorial at Terrebonne Grange Sat. 10th.

Other: Florence Lambert the 50/50 raffle drawing.

and lots of grass and shade.
