RJR Freshman, Mary Cranford Yates, has a pieceentered in the Congressional Art Contest thatwas selected by Virginia Foxx. It is called"Reynolda in Spring".
The winner of the contest will receive a trip toWashington for the installation. The contest isdone COMPLETELY BASED ON FACEBOOK"LIKES" (I knowno politics in schools. However,you don't have to "like" Virginia Foxx's page toparticipateonly "like" Mary Cranford's piece ofart).

SPRING ARTS EXTRAVAGANZA!
The Arts Council embarked on a HUGE event series that began in April at twoof the parks in Forsyth County – Tanglewood Park and Triad Park inKernersville. More than 100 volunteers for the series are needed, and students
can work any area but the beer tent and the ID/ticket tent.

ATHLETICSSpring Sports Update
Baseball and Softball start their conference tournaments thisweek. Both teams will play at West Forsyth on Tuesday
Boys Lacrosse will play at Page in the first round of the stateplayoffs on Friday.
Girls Lacrosse will host its first round playoff game on Fridayafter winning the CPC Tournament over West Forsyth 153this week.
Boys Golf plays in the regional tournament in Durham onTuesday. Zach Brown won the conference championship witha score of 73 this past week!
Boys Tennis won the regular season and tournamentconference championships. Bennett Crane won the singlestitle and Huntley Allen and Tristian Smith won the doublestitle! The team will play its first playoff match on Tuesday athome at 4:00.
Girls Soccer plays its final two regular season games thisweek.
Girls and Boys Track has the conference championships onTuesday at Reagan.
All of the teams' schedules are on the school website. Comecheck out the games as the players and coaches would loveyour support. Go Demons!
