We use the present simple tense to talk
about:
Something that is always true.
We are people.
The sun rises in the
east and sets in the
west.
We have two eyes.
Something that is true in the present
We are ten years old.
She lives in London.
I like meat.
Something that happens again and again in the present:
She goes to school every day.
Dogs usually chase cats.
They play football
every month.
The 3rd person of singular (he, she, it) adds an s to the verb.
It runs very fast.
He laughs.
She always reads books.
Spelling rules.
