Entry Forms to be submitted, and exhibit labels collected, at the Secretary’s Office until 4pm Friday 2nd February 2018
Conditions of Entry
• Exhibits to be delivered to the pavilion (with stickers attached) before 9am Thursday 8th February
• No late entries will be accepted after 9am on day of judging
• Society exhibit labels supplied to exhibitors at entry have two portions. The small label goes on the lid,
the large label goes on the reverse side of the jar
• Product labels to be 4cm from the top of all jars in all classes
• All exhibits in this section must be the bona-fide production of the person in whose name the exhibits
are entered
• Exhibitors are advised that all jams and jellies are to be shown in screw top jars, (approx. 400g or 1/2
pound). Please have name of jam etc., on bottle, and suggest, for added attraction, that all tops be plain white or metallic (no advertisements). NO fabric covering except in novelty classes
• Sauces to be in tall bottles
• Preserves to be in No 36 jars
• Jam has fruit in small pieces - Conserve has fruit mostly still whole - Jelly is crystal clear, no fruit
• Please check all entries for mould
• No prize will be awarded unless the judge thinks it worthy
• Perpetual Trophies to be returned to Secretary’s Office prior to 2019 Show
Exhibits & prize money may be collected between 2pm to 3pm Sunday 11th February
Prize Money 1st $4 2nd $2 unless otherwise stated

Judges Tips
Clean jars for exhibition with windex or methylated spirits
Use fresh fruit ONLY – no dried fruit, apricots etc
Contents to be filled to the neck of jar, approx., 1/2 cm from the top
Let jams stand before bottling to avoid bubbles and risen fruit
When a collection is entered, jars & labels to be identical
