MIRACULOUS PRESERVATION OF PHAROAH’S DEAD
BODY
•This is the dead body of Pharoah Ramese II , the Egyptian Pharaoh (king)
•Its age is approximately 3000 years
•The body of the Pharaoh was discovered in 1898 in the Red Sea at the place called jabalian
•This body is now displayed in the Royal Mummies Chamber of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
•This dead body is amazingly preserved without any mummification; no inside organs have been removed
PHOTOGRAPHS OF MUMMIES IN EGYPT
Even the mummies in the Egypt with so much of mummification process are not well preserved like the body of Firon
•Pharoah’s body was inside the sea for more than 3000 years
•Fish in the sea could have easily eaten the flesh, but they didn’t.
SO WHAT IS THE SECRET OF SUCH GOOD PRESERVATION OF
THIS BODY???
The answer is in the following verse of the Quran where God says:
"Today We will preserve (save) your body so you can be a Sign for people who come after you. Surely many people are heedless of Our Signs.”
(Quran chapter10:
Verse92)
WHAT DID HE DO????
WHY HIS BODY IS BEING PRESERVED BY GOD????
HISTORY OF FIRON
•Firon was the famous and very cruel king of Egypt
•He declared that he was God
•He tortured the people who didn’t worship Him
•God sent Prophet Moses (Messenger of God) to save the people from oppression and cruelty and to warn people to turn to the True Path (True God)
•Firon and his people thought that Prophet Musa’s aim is to seize power by changing the traditional religion of Egypt.
•Firon attained a great benefit from the traditional religion of Egypt, If that religion were to change, Firon will loose all his power.
•So Firon denied the existence of God.
THE PERIOD OF DISASTER•God sent various disaster upon pharoah and his people.
•The first disaster was drought. The relevant verse from the Qur'an:“We seized Pharaoh's people with years of drought and scarcity of fruits so that hopefully they would pay heed”. (Qur'an, 7:130)•Following the drought, God sent powerful rain and storm
•Insects covered the
cities like black clouds
•Entire land was covered by the plague of frogs (In Homes and Streets)
•The water of the river and the well of Egypt turned into blood
•So the people of Egypt were wrapped with thirst
“So We sent down on them floods, locusts, lice, frogs and blood, signs, clear and distinct, but they proved arrogant and were an evildoing people.” (Qur'an, 7:133)
The relevant verse from the Qur'an:
•The land-to its whole extent confusion and terrible noise…
•For nine days there was no exit from the palace and no one could see the face of his fellow.
•When they could not stand any more, they turned to Prophet Musa, although this was hard on their pride and arrogance. They promised him that they would believe if he removed the torments from them
The relevant verse from the Qur'an:
“Whenever the plague came down on them they said, 'Musa, pray to your Lord for us by the contract He has with you. If you remove the plague from us, we will definitely believe in you and send the tribe of Israel away with you.” (Quran 7: 134)
•God responded to Prophet Musa's prayer and removed the punishment from them for a certain time so that they would keep their promise. However, they displayed the untrustworthy character
The relevant verse from the Qur'an:
“But when We removed the plague from them for a fixed term which they fulfilled they broke their word.” (Quran 7: 135)
PHAROAH BROKE THE PROMISE
Finally, Allah took revenge on these people for their constant denial of His signs in spite of the many chances He had given them to believe.
“Then We took revenge on them and drowned them in the sea because they denied Our Signs and paid no attention to them.” (Quran 7:136)
The relevant verse from the Qur'an:
REVENGE
•Eventually, God commanded Prophet Moses to leave the children of Israel out of Egypt
•As God has commanded, Prophet Moses and his people departed Egypt that mid night
•When Pharoah came to know about their departure, he was consumed by a terrible anger, as he regarded himself as a owner and so called God of the Egypt.
DEPARTURE OF MUSA FROM EGYPT
•Pharaoh mobilized his soldiers and set out after the children of Israel (Prophet Moses and his people)
•Musa and his people started to run but stopped at the seafront where they could not go any further.
MIRACLE OF GOD
•When Musa and his people could not go any further, Musa used his stick to part the sea that allowed the Israelites to pass through.
•Then the Pharaoh and his army also followed but the sea closed on them drowning and killing Pharaoh and his entire army.
•Pharoah and his army were all drowned in this miracle
•At the last moment, Pharoah tried to repent but his repentance was not accepted.
DROWNING OF PHAROAH
These events are described in the Quran in the following verse:‘We brought the tribe of Israel across the sea and Pharaoh and his troops pursued them out of tyranny and enmity. Then when hewas on the point of drowning, he (Pharaoh) said: “I believe that there is no god but Him in whom the tribe of Israel believes. I am one of the Muslims.” “What, now! When previously you rebelled and were one of the corrupters? Today We will preserve (save) your body so you can be a Sign for people who come after you. Surely many people are heedless of Our Signs.’ (Quran 10:90-92)
•The body of the Pharaoh was only discovered in 1898 but the Quran was revealed nearly 1400 years ago.
CONCLUSION
•It is almost impossible for a man (Muhammed) to say accurately how a certain thing happened in the ancient past and make a connection with that thing to predict how it would be in the future. •So it is clear that the verses from the Quran is nothing but the words of God
