About the InventorIn his 20 year career as a firefighter, Mike Philips struggled to find a truly good bariatric lifting aid. While there were a few that might solve one aspect of bariatric lifting, none could handle the majority of the patient lifting challenges Public Safety personnel face every day. Out of need, he designed People Mover, a tool that handles about 90% of those lifting needs while also reducing costs. The People Mover costs less than most of the common lifting systems though it’s significantly more versatile. Departments that have implemented the People Mover have virtually eliminated patient and firefighter injuries from patient lifting.
