They will dive into what is a patent, how is it constructed, as well as how does one receive a patent, and what does it grant you. Tariq Hafiz and Scott Jarrett Mr. Tariq Hafiz has worked at the USPTO for over 15 years. Currently, he is a Supervisory Patent Examiner. Tariq has a Electrical Engineering degree. Mr. Scott Jarrett recently joined the USPTO having worked in diverse areas including eBusiness and Information Technology, and Integrated Circuit Design. Scott has a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
