May 2010

NextGen Integration & Evaluation Capability (NIEC)

– Synergism of lab capabilities already at the Tech Center– Rapid prototyping and simulation environment anchored by

a new “Display Area” – Supports “integration and evaluation” of new NextGen

concepts & technologies• Fast time & real-time human-in-the-loop simulations

– Overall NIEC is scalable with multiple levels of fidelity • NIEC Display Area - medium fidelity • Main labs - high fidelity

– Good mix of legacy systems and new technologies• Supports “transition” to NextGen
