Goals
• Short Term– Identify what can be accomplished through voluntary industry
compliance for the upcoming winter season 2006-2007.– Develop draft documents and guidance material to address
these issues for the winter season 2006-2007– Determine required coordination to finalize draft documents
and guidance material for winter season 2006-2007– Designate responsible parties for finalization of draft
documents and guidance material.– Establish schedule for completion and methods of distribution
of final documents and guidance material for winter season 2006-2007

Mission Statement- Develop common definitions for pilot braking reports of Good/ Fair (Medium)/Poor/Nil. Develop common guidelines for flightcrew assessment of braking action conditions (how to take and report).

Runway Condition Reports Group
Mission Statement- Standardize runway condition reports provided by airport operators. Determine what type reports are most useable by aircraft operators under various runway contaminate conditions.

Technology and Programs Groups
Mission Statement- Develop a plan to use current and future technologies and programs to better determine an aircrafts expected stopping capabilities. Explore what information might be available through Flight Operation Quality Assurance (FOQA) programs, Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), and timely data transmissions from onboard data recorder systems.
