Take-Away Messages from Morning Session• Geospatial data are key to many decisions affecting global food and
environmental security• Data consistency is critical for supporting analysis; we currently
spend too much time ‘at the end of the pipeline’• Temporal variation (seasonality and time series) is important• Improved data sometimes matter; sometimes not! This is important
information• It is all about workflows – culminating in products of interest to user
communities• Regional knowledge improves global data products• Open access and transparency are essential
