Global CitizenshipGlobal CitizenshipIs the application of the concept of citizenship
(social responsibility) at a global level through active participation.
The global citizen is one who is strongly
connected with the concepts of globalization (awareness), participates (commitment and engagement) in ways to reduce inequities and refrains from behaviors that hinder the well-being of others.

clubs to engage students in and outside the classroom.
Simple concept: ◦The faculty DARES the students to CARE.
Students will discuss global issues as they pertain to their class or student club and through additional opportunities students will seek ways to take action/ get involved.

discuss global issues ◦Students given opportunities will be able to
investigate potential solutions further (awareness) and develop a plan of action
◦Students can become actively involved through: student clubs, volunteerism or community service, experiential learning, and a host of other means.

(Discussions can be threaded in several classes. Model/ template/ assignment should take no more than an hour in class. Students can work in groups/ homework assignment)
