“I came to this course principally to take the hands on course;

I expected the lecture portion to be a boring rehash of historical

literature. What I experienced were first rate lectures which

were stimulating and informative. And the hands-on courses

lived up to my lofty expectations. I will immediately implement

these procedures into my practice. I will definitely take this

course again and recommend it to my peers.”

“5 days all you can eat buffet of implant information.”

Dr. Leland Chrisman, OMS (Tupelo, MS)

“I appreciate Dr. Sclar’s manner of presentation; no

pretension, no bull, very down to earth.”Dr. Dan Johnson, OMS (Longmont, CO)

“An essential course from a true master of implantology,

this will change the way I practice.”Dr. Guy McLellan,GP (Beaconsfield, UK)

“Everything presented was practical and taught at a level

to allow me to go home and perform these procedures.

The material presented was non-biased with a scientific

base and research to back results. Dr. Sclar didn’t try to

showboat cases that were beyond our abilities. The

manual was well organized for easy at-office reference.”

Dr. Darrell Bourg, GP (Marrero, LA)

Page 9: Presented by Dr. Anthony G. Sclar - Rosa Odontologia...Presented by Dr. Anthony G. Sclar Author of: Soft Tissue and Esthetic Considerations in Implant Therapy February 1-5, 2013 Miami

“I have attended other conferences and have had discussions

with other surgeons regarding their different “cocktails” of

materials and methods. Dr. Sclar is the first person to give me

a sound scientific rationale for a technique. I am much more

comfortable using a system that I can believe in because it

make sense scientifically and not just following someone’s

recipe.”

Dr. Rob Armstrong, Oral Surgeon (Chagrin Falls, OH)

“Both the soft tissue grafting lecture and bone augmentation

were extremely informative, best I have taken. I respect Tony’s

honesty as far as his complications – usually we see the

beautiful cases with excellent soft tissue and bone responses.

However, this is not reality. It was great to learn from other

mistakes, not just our own. I would recommend this course!”

Dr. David Sorial (Southgate, MI)

“He is an outstanding educator. As a Board Certified

Periodontist, I can verify he is an outstanding surgeon. His

attention to detail is amazing. I highly recommend spending

time and money to learn from him. Make the time to attend his

Annual Comprehensive Surgical Course in Miami Beach,

Florida. If you seek exceptional and cutting-edge Dental

Implant surgical knowledge, he presents real and predictable

information.”

Paul J. Denemark, DDS, MSD (Burr Ridge, Illinois)

“Hand-outs are extremely useful and well thought out.

Refreshing presentation where Dr. Sclar’s vast clinical

experience and his enthusiasm for the subject as well as his

clinical judgment and his clinical mastery are indicated and

enable the course to deliver useful practical and invaluable

guidelines for both novice and expert operators.”

IMMEDIATE DENTOALVEOLAR RESTORATION – IDRImmediate-loaded implants in compromised alveolar sockets

Dr. José Carlos Martins da RosaDr. Ariadene Cristina Pertile de Oliveira Rosa

Dr. Marcos Alexandr e Fadanelli

Single-tooth replacement in the esthetic zone has been one of the most common indications for dental implant

placement. Compromised teeth are removed using atraumatic principles and immediately replaced by an implant-

supported provisional restoration, with excellent esthetic, biological, and functional results.

However, in cases of compromised sites with bone loss/gingival recessions, the clinical scenario presents a different

dilemma. Until now, all developed surgical recommendations required long-term treatment with possible undesirable

complications in the tissue architecture.

The Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration (IDR) is a technique established to broaden indications for immediate loading

on individual teeth. In this way, tissue losses with varied extensions are reconstructed in the same surgical session of

implant placement and provisional crown installation, reducing the number of interventions and keeping predictability on

esthetic aspects.

The IDR protocol was developed six years ago from the need to minimize the treatment time and

morbidity of reconstructive procedures used in these cases. It was also the theme of the book of the

same name launched in Portuguese language in 2010 and in Spanish language in 2012, by Santos

Publishing (São Paulo – Brazil), and it is soon to be launched in English in the fall of 2012, by

Quintessence Publishing.

This course will discuss the scientific basis, the step by step technique and indications. The IDR, which advocates

minimally invasive flapless procedures, is presented as a viable and reproducible alternative.

To my surprise andpleasure, Dr. Sclar had completely revamped the entireprogram; all new cases, updates and changes to surgicaltechniques and a much more dynamic presentation. Ilook forward to coming back again!”

John M. Emmet (Phoenix, AZ)

“Understanding esthetics and soft tissue managementwill become the most valuable tool in my implantpractice and there is no better place to learn it than here”

“Tony is fantastic. Great course. Worth every penny.Very good handout and room for notes. Well runcourse. I especially appreciate honesty, as regards toshowing less than optimal cases, so that we can avoidmaking the same mistakes.”

Thomas Butts, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon(Brighton, MI)

“Best course I have ever attended! Period.”Stephen F. Molpus (North Little Rock, AR)

It has been several months since I attended yourcourse in Miami. I can only say that it was one of thebest several days I have spent on continuingeducation. Having a few of my staff present has beena definite advantage. While I was aware of andperformed the principles in the course, your lecturesand hands on workshops has been extremelybeneficial and has indeed taken my implant practiceto a new level. Thank you.

Dr. Marvin Slott, OMS (Gainesville, FL)

“This is my first, in many lectures, I have attended thata surgeon has admitted his misfortunes. I respectDr.Sclar with his candidness. Excellent, well integratedcourse, it comes full circle. Would highly recommend it.”
